Profession mechanic[edit]
Pets are the ranger's profession mechanic, with pet commands occupying the F1 – F4 slots above the skill bar.
- F1 locks your pet onto your current target.
- F2 activates the species-specific skill of your pet. Your pet has 3 other skills, shared among its pet family, that it will use on its own. See list of pet skills.
- F3 commands your pet back to you.
- F4 swaps your currently active pet, see pet swap.

1 | Crossfire | Fire an arrow that bleeds your target. Attacks are stronger from behind or from the side. | |||
2 | Poison Volley | ¼ | 8 | Fire a spread of five poison arrows. Poison lasts longer if you are flanking or behind the target. | |
3 | Quick Shot | ¼ | 8 | Fire a quick shot in an evasive retreat. Gain swiftness. This can be used while retreating. | |
4 | Crippling Shot | 12 | Fire an arrow that cripples your target. If you are flanking or behind your target, immobilize them. Your pet's next three attacks inflict bleeding. | ||
