Next outgoing attack misses; stacks duration.

— In-game description

Blinded is a condition that nullifies a character's next attack by giving it a 100% chance to miss. Blindness is removed after affecting a single hit or when its duration expires, though note that it will cause a single hit to miss multiple targets if they were all affected at the same time. Blinded characters appear with a dark purple cloud and white cross mark surrounding their heads. An affected player's screen will also dim. Blind deals defiance bar damage at a rate of 20 per second. Blind has a maximum duration of 10 seconds.

Skills and traits that convert conditions to boons turn Blinded into Fury with a duration of 5 seconds. Some enemies, including most dredge NPCs, are immune specifically to this condition.

Version history[edit]

Patch Changes
May 11, 2021
  • Duration-stacking boons and conditions now behave consistently. They directly stack durations added from all sources, do not have hidden stack limits, and generally have shorter maximum durations. With most nondamaging condition durations stacking to a maximum of 10 seconds, we aim to reduce situations in which players can become stuck in combat because of a long-duration condition, preventing them from using their mount.
June 23, 2015 Specialization update:
