"A ripple in the sand, you see me no more."

Cloaking themselves in rich desert sands, the mirage can execute skills and strike their foes while simultaneously dodging incoming attacks. You dance between your illusions, taking their place and deceiving your enemies.

— In-game description

Mirage.pngMirage is an elite specialization for the mesmer unlocked with the Path of Fire expansion. These extremely elusive duelists can enter Mirage Cloak to become intangible and dodge incoming attacks without rolling, to then execute ambush attacks on their unsuspecting enemies. Mirages have learned deception skills to disorient their enemies while creating Mirage Mirrors, which they then destroy to enter Mirage Cloak. They are also adept at shifting through the battlefield, jaunting all over the place while hiding among their clones, always leaving their enemies wondering which is the real mirage. They can wield axes in their main hand, sturdy but light weapons that improve their mobility. Mirages focus on damage dealing by overwhelming their enemies in conditions, while optionally also providing some boons to nearby allies.

Profession mechanic[edit]

Maybe I was the illusion all along!

— Mirage

Mirages replace their dodge roll ability with Mirage Cloak. Inside Mirage Cloak, they dodge incoming attacks for 0,75 seconds just like a normal dodge. Mirage Cloak, however, has the advantage of not having a cast time, so it can be used in the middle of any action.

Mirages also create Mirage Mirrors with their skills, which they can walk into to shatter them and enter Mirage Cloak.

Inside Mirage Cloak, mirages gain access to Ambush skills, which empower their first weapon skill.
