Bleeding can stack in intensity up to 1500 times and each stack does one pulse of damage per second. The damage dealt by bleeding is determined by the following formula:
(0.06 * Condition Damage) + (0.25 * Level) + 2
damage per stack per second,(0.06 * Condition Damage) + 22
damage per stack per second at level 80.

Traits that apply bleeding[edit]
Unrelenting Criticism (Firebrand) — Axe skills gain a chance to inflict bleeding. Symbol of Vengeance now dazes on its initial strike.
Body Blow (Strength) — Stuns, dazes, knockbacks, pulls, pushes, and launches inflict bleeding and weakness.
Bloodlust (Arms) — You have a chance to inflict bleeding on critical hits, and bleeds that you apply last longer.
Crack Shot (Discipline) — Warrior ranged weapon skills gain reduced recharge, and their weapon skill 1 attacks are enhanced.
Shrapnel (Explosives) — Explosions have a chance to cripple and cause bleeding on hit.
Sharpshooter (Firearms) — Critical hits have a chance to cause bleeding.
Sharpened Edges (Skirmishing) — You and your pet have a chance to cause bleeding on critical hits.
Ancient Seeds (Druid) — Striking a stunned, dazed, knocked down, or launched foe summons roots to entangle them.
Strength of Stone (Earth) — Gain condition damage based on your toughness. Inflict bleeding when you immobilize a foe. Bleeding can only occur on the same target once per interval.
Arcane Precision (Arcane) — Your critical strikes have a chance to inflict a condition based on your attunement.
Duelist's Discipline (Dueling) — Pistol attacks from you and your illusions have a chance to cause bleeding. Interrupting a foe recharges pistol skills. This trait can only reduce recharge on enemies with defiance bars once per interval.
Sharper Images (Dueling) — Illusions inflict bleeding on critical hits.
Barbed Precision (Curses) — Critical hits have a chance to cause bleeding. Increases bleed duration.
Master of Corruption (Curses) — Corruptions gain reduced recharge time and inflict additional conditions on you.

- According to lore, sylvari have golden blood. However, in the game, their blood is red.
- It is one of the few condition damage types that no enemies are immune against. The others are Torment and Confusion.
