Traits that grant Fire Aura

• King of Fires (Berserker) — Increase the duration of burning you apply. Gain fire aura when you critically hit an enemy. Berserker skills detonate fire aura, damaging and burning nearby foes.
• Arcane Resurrection (Arcane) — Cast Geyser when you begin reviving a downed ally. Geyser now partially revives downed allies. When you begin reviving an ally, you gain an aura based on your attunement.
• Conjurer (Fire) — Gain fire aura when an ally picks up a conjured weapon.
• Written in Stone (Earth) — Signets continue to grant their passive bonuses while recharging. Gain an aura when you use a signet skill.
• Unstable Conduit (Tempest) — Overloads grant an aura based on your attunement.
• Elemental Epitome (Catalyst) — Gain an aura based on your current attunement when you combo. Gain Elemental Empowerment when you grant yourself an aura. Auras can be gained this way once per attunement per interval.

Trait skills that grant Fire Aura

•   Fire Shield (Streamlined Kits) — Activate a fire shield that burns enemies who strike you, granting might for each burn applied.
•   Sunspot (Sunspot) — Gain a fire aura and damage nearby foes.

Traits that improve Fire Aura

• King of Fires (Berserker) — Increase the duration of burning you apply. Gain fire aura when you critically hit an enemy. Berserker skills detonate fire aura, damaging and burning nearby foes.
• Smothering Auras (Fire) — Fire auras have increased duration. Applying auras to allies removes conditions, and transmuting auras removes conditions from nearby allies.

Notes

Bug:

When struck by foes who are downed, the internal cool down does not apply.

• Grants one stack of might for 10 seconds when struck by an enemy.
• Blocking the attack also gives the might and burns the foe.

Patch	Changes
February 25, 2020	Competitive content update: Aura effects have been updated to be larger and more noticeable. The previous, more subtle aura effects are now used for auras on allies and for all characters viewed by PvP spectators when the Effect LOD option is checked in the graphics settings. Effect icons used for auras have been updated for consistency.
May 14, 2019	Fixed a bug that prevented this effect from triggering several traits.
April 23, 2019	Fire Shield: This effect has been renamed Fire Aura.
December 01, 2015	The following skills have had their effects replaced with a new version to reduce visual noise: Frost Aura, Magnetic Aura, Shocking Aura, and Fire Shield.
February 26, 2013	In addition to the burning condition, this aura now grants 10 seconds of might each time the player is struck. This aura can activate only once per second.
August 28, 2012	Game release: Fire Shield has been added to the game.
