Throw an explosive at the target area, dazing and blinding enemies on impact. Remove stealth and reveal enemies in a larger area around the impact.

May not be an available skill for some players, instead just showing a blank, un-activatable skill. Can sometimes be resolved by slotting Sneak Gyro as a Scrapper.

  • This skill has been reworked and renamed Flashbang. Throw out an explosive shell at the target area. It explodes on impact, dazing and blinding nearby enemies while revealing enemies in a larger radius.

  • Fixed a bug in which this skill would reveal enemies with aegis. Fixed a bug in which this skill would not reveal downed enemies.

  • Purge Gyro's toolbelt skill has been changed from Detection Pulse to Chemical Field.
  • Utility Goggles' toolbelt skill has been changed from Analyze to Detection Pulse.

  • This skill replaces Purge Gyro's previous tool belt skill, Chemical Field. The radius of this skill has been reduced from 1200 to 900, and its targeting has been improved in large group settings.

  • While scrapper specialization is equipped, Function Gyro now occupies the F5 slot.
    • Guild Wars 2 Wiki note: Detection Pulse has therefore been removed from the game.

  • Reduced the casting time of this skill by 0.25 seconds, and the aftercast has been reduced by approximately 0.3 seconds.

  • The radius of this skill is no longer split between game modes and will now use the greater radius of 1,200 in all modes.
