blind got nerfed 0.0--The Holy Dragons 12:20, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

Because it was the blind condition that made BSurge OP :/ --Riddle 14:14, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
I wonder: conditions are now stackable, right? what happens if you stack blind? Is it one missed attack for each stack of blind? Cause that would make it quite powerful again, on par with the GW1 blind I think. 199.245.34.11 08:06, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
It might also stack in duration. I doubt blind would last very long, especially since it only affects next attack. You could just wait it out. And the enemy throwing blind on your could make it last longer. It might also be unstackable in any way, because Stone Shards might become a little... annoying. Mediggo 08:10, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Ouch. I see your point. Probably just duration or no stack at all then. 199.245.34.11 08:17, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
Blind does not stack in effect; it is a 1-time-only condition. Whether the condition comes with a duration is unknown to me, but if it does, *that* would be extended when multiple copies of blind are applied. - Infinite - talk 12:37, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

Does it cause spells to miss?[edit]

Now that there are no basic attacks, and there is no distinction between spells and other skills, will blind cause a spell to miss? Did anyone see this situation in any of the demos? Zomby138 15:09, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

One attack, presumably (that is, any skill that targets a foe). I'm curious about AoE, though. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 15:25, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
would love to see AOE spells cause damage to allies when cast blinded!--86.178.17.59 00:58, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
No. --ஸ Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig2.png 01:42, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

Concern[edit]

Is anyone concerned that blind can easily be countered by using skill 1 of any weapon set? -- Blue Phoenix User Blue Phoenix Phoenix inverted.jpg 04:18, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

I think it would be more like a situational condition hitting it just as your foe might use a power skill (i.e timing flurry from a sword warrior?) But otherwise yeah I could see using a skill one spam to counter it >unless< for some reason that skill doesn't count towards it Denetah 05:29, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
If a warrior just used Gash it's probably worth it using blind on them to prevent Final Thrust from connecting. Same goes for every chain that exists. Mediggo 22:38, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing as Blue Phoenix, does blindness "causes the target's next hit to miss" or simply the next weapon swing. And to guess an answer to another question, about AoE : blind may only impact attack skills that can actually miss. For instance, ground-targeted skills would be immune (though only a subset of the AoE family) and AoE on impact (explosions ans such) would naturally not occur.
Still unsure about what happens to a wide swing (PBAoE), since the damage are multiple, but the hit may be unique... --Leonim 20:56, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
"Next outgoing attack misses." as ingame description (from Curse video of the february's CBT). -- Mistfire Wolf.png Leonim [talk·contribs] 22:20, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Blind and traps[edit]

I swear that my traps tend to miss when I am blind. Does anyone else think this is kinda stupid? --Combatter 18:10, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

Pagename (Blind vs. Blinded)[edit]

I just noticed that the ingame name of the condition is actually 'Blinded'. That's also what the chatlink from the infobox is saying when pasted ingame. Is there any special reason why we have it listed as blind or was it just renamed ingame at some point and nobody bothered to move the page? --Alcahata (talk) 20:33, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

I'm hesitantly going to lean towards Anet having changed it at some point, and us not reacting to it. If the condition is now "blinded", then I guess we have a lot of updating to do :(. G R E E N E R 21:21, 20 February 2018 (UTC)
