Engineering Kit is a skill type unique to Engineers that give them access to additional weapon skills. Engineering kits can be equipped and stowed instantly, allowing characters to switch back to their original weapon. Kits scale damage based on the rarity of the player's equipped weapon.

- Backpack Regenerator (Alchemy) — Recover health every second when using an Engineering Kit.
- Streamlined Kits (Tools) — Equipping an Engineering Kit creates an attack or spell and grants you swiftness.
The weapon strength used in damage calculations is listed below. The highest rarity weapon is used regardless of which hand it is in. Tooltips always use a midpoint of 922.5 regardless of the currently equipped weapon's rarity.

- There is an internal cooldown of 1 second when swapping to or from a specific kit. If you swap to or from a kit, you must wait 1 second before you can swap to or from that kit. The cooldown on stowing a kit can be circumvented by using 'Drop bundle' (default key: ).
- Prior to the August 8, 2017 game update, engineering kits were split into two functionally identical types: Device kits and Weapon kits.
