Hi there! My name is Soulweaver and I've been playing Guild Wars 2 all the way back from its third beta weekend event. While I've had some longer breaks from it (*cough* from 2015 to 2020 *cough*), I've clocked in quite a number of play hours and am currently playing actively pretty much daily, doing weekly raids as well as other PvE content both in the open world and in instanced form, and pouring pretty much all the gold I earn that way into progressing my legendary armory :) I've also dedicated some of my time to Final Fantasy XIV recently, but both games see active play. My home server for WvW purposes is Ring of Fire in the EU region, though I'm not really into PvP, so I mostly dip in for easy daily rewards or rank up/reward track trains.

It's kinda funny that I'm raiding regularly now considering that the shift into more difficult content and the looming pressure of having to adapt meta builds was what pushed me away from GW2 in the first place. I originally returned just for "casual" content, but my guildmates managed to convince me to dip my toes in raids with promising results, and the rest is history! There's still room to grow, though; I haven't yet beaten some of the EoD CM extra titles or the Harvest Temple CM yet, but I'm working towards fixing that weekly.

As far as the wiki goes, I'll try to fix mistakes I come across them even though I'm not much of a writer. My contributions aren't that numerous, but that's just how it is. If you need to contact me, either posting on my talk page or whispering/mailing in-game is equally fine, assuming I'm online and not on another hiatus.

Oh, and I host my screenshots (over 5,900 images by now) here. At one point, I was developing a more elaborate replacement for it that would've also included character, inventory and other account data pulled from the API, but I scrapped that when I figured that GW2Efficiency fulfills that niche for my own needs already. I might look into developing or adapting a better gallery management system in the future, though.

My current main. He's equipped with two differently statted sets of legendary armor as well as a decent collection of ascended weapons, except for the aquatic stuff for now. The first armor set is using the Berserker's prefix with double axes and maces, the second Viper's with a longbow, sword and a torch - filling the needs of both a standard power and a condi berserker in raids. In the open world, he uses the Berserker set combined with Sunrise instead, combined with a homebrew build revolving around might generation and shouts for both damage and high self sustain.

The subject of my second level-to-80 booster; was around level 55 before that. Has seen serious use in raids as a regular condition scourge, has heal scourge and power reaper sets geared, and also a WvW power scourge build from the time I grinded for Conflux. I also cleared HTCM with him with that reaper set slightly modified (easy option, I know).

• Citation Needed [cite] (08/2012–)

A five person guild consisting of me and some of my close IRL friends. Not that that's really useful since they aren't really active in the game anymore, but the guild bank we managed to build in those early days serves as an easy way to transfer items between accounts, at least.

• Friendly Night Raids [FNR] (06/2021–)

The raiding guild I most often raid with that I got involved with through my main open world PvE guild. I often play group content with these people, and I consider this my home guild at the moment.

• For the Greater [Loot] (10/2021–)

Another raid-oriented guild and also a static full clear group I took part in for several weeks, even before joining the guild proper. Their regular raids are on hold now, though, and my static moved to a more guild-agnostic setup. There's a decent overlap of people in both [FNR] and [Loot].

• Unskilled And Afraid [BAD] (1/2023–)

The Reddit-born low requirement guild that got pretty popular over time. True to my previous guild history, I also followed here after some of my guildmates from [FNR].

Past

• Furious Rising [FR] (10/2014–??/2015)

The first proper guild I was in. Regrettably, the guild died before the launch of HoT after the departure of one of the two guild leaders; the other leader was rarely around and didn't manage to save the guild despite their efforts when it began to fall apart. I've seen the former commenting on Reddit somewhat recently still, so I guess they just didn't feel that guild was for them anymore.

• Crystallise [Crys] (11/2020–10/2021)

A smaller guild, albeit one that has been around for a long time. After I picked up the game after my long break, I seeked a PvE guild on a recruitment subreddit and found them that way. Crystallise was an important stepping stone on my journey into getting back up to speed with everything that had happened since HoT and also ended up eventually becoming a gateway into the high-end PvE content. However, disagreements regarding the guild's archaic mandatory representation requirement (that clashed with my involvement with FNR when it came to raids and guild missions on that side) ended up eventually costing me my formerly high rank I had gained during the past months and throwing the guild into a hiatus of a few months. In October, a revitalization effort was made by the guild leader, but the roster was going to be purged from people who weren't willing to personally plead allegiance to them (i.e. the same archaic requirement), so I decided it was a good time to move on on my own volition.

Endgame content progress

I've been steadily getting into the actually difficult content starting in April 2021. The following list shows all of my first clears (including the first clears in which I was alive at the end), or the date and health of the boss at the time of death in the best attempt otherwise. 2	Sunrise	27th Mar 2021	I decided to embark on a new legendary weapon journey after I returned back to the game from my years-long hiatus, this time through the precursor crafting route. After a few months of very active playing, I finished crafting it. It was most notably used by Kuang Steak whenever I play him in open world until it was superseded by Eternity.
3	Aurora	17th Jul 2021	I started working on the Living World trinkets after I caught up with the story in early 2021. Aurora was the first in the line.
4	Perfected Envoy Breastplate	20th Aug 2021	Breaking into raids made it viable for me to start working on the raid legendary armor. I crafted the six pieces one by one in the months following Aurora, starting with the pieces with the most stats assigned to them and working down from there, completing the set with the shoulders.

11	Prismatic Champion's Regalia	30th Nov 2021	I did all the replay events and got the amulet on the day the last part was available. Not much else to say, really; free is free.
12	Coalescence	2nd Feb 2022	As with armor, raiding also provided me access to the legendary ring progression. I had had the precursor for a long time before I could dedicate enough resources to craft it.
13	Ad Infinitum	20th Feb 2022	The progression for the precursor of this item was arguably the slowest of all the legendary items I had completed up to it itself. I had started the first collection around the time Sunrise was still in the works, but not actively going towards progressing it for most of the time. In fact, I only got the Gift of Infinity the same night I completed the backpack.
14	Perfected Envoy Vestments	10th Mar 2022	It was clear to me that finishing all three weights of legendary armor would provide substantial account-wide value just like crafting the trinkets did, so even though I originally had plans to make Astralaria next after finishing Ad Infinitum, I decided otherwise and started crafting the light armor set instead. Among the first-tier precursor collections I had completed, I settled on Astralaria since I already had multiple builds that benefit from axes and because its theming is pretty nice, kind of also complementing Sunrise.
21	Incinerator	23rd May 2022	I picked the first-generation legendary dagger as a side project after I finished Astralaria way earlier than I expected to. It was one of the weapons I got a precursor for from gambling exotic weapons in the Mystic Forge.
22	Conflux	24th Jun 2022	For the longest time, I was of the mind that I don't want to dedicate my time into WvW even if it'd complete my set of legendary trinkets. Eventually I changed my mind, though. After spending half of my play hours in the Mists for two months or so, I gained some 150-ish ranks, the necessary tickets, and a few Gifts of Battle in the reserve. Didn't convert me into a regular player, though (but I think I'll try to join the K-train tag every now and then to keep the GoB flow active).
23	Perfected Envoy Jerkin	7th Jul 2022	I was working on both Aurene's Fang and the medium legendary armor at the same time, and the first armor piece happened to be ready to go while I was still accumulating essences of luck, so it got made first.
24	Aurene's Fang	11th Jul 2022	I decided to use my free precursor box for the sword, as it was a weapon type that I already used in a few builds and is quite useful to have overall. The expensive EoD items I mostly gathered myself – I spent a few days focusing on fishing, and the majority of the required Antique Summoning Stones I got passively from the weekly vendor or from Dragon's End. Jade Runestones I hadn't properly prepared for, though, so those I had to buy in bulk.

Next projects
	Legendary Sigil (#3-#4)		Whenever I get enough charms and symbols, I'll try to turn them into more sigils and runes. Provisioner Tokens are not a bottleneck since weekly raid CMs have left me with more than I can possibly use already.
	Legendary Rune (#4-#7)
	Frenzy		I'm very close to completing this one and with that the underwater legendary triad, for some reason.
	Aurene's Argument		This will probably be the next Aurene weapon, but I'm not dead set on it yet.
	Howler		Throwing the exotic weapons dropped from raids into the Mystic Forge has paid off and netted me a few precursors, and I actually managed to discover not one but two from loot as well (though one was a second Dawn that I sold). None of these is yet a high priority, and I didn't even commit to them by unlocking the skin off their precursors and account binding them in the process. Most likely I will go for them eventually, though, in some unspecified order.

Specialization collections

I've been slowly working on these on the side while doing other stuff. I've finished HoT and PoF sets, and from EoD I'm only missing the specter specialization weapon (and for that only the item for doing the strike or the story step remains).

Saving the City of Gold

Doing the meta 100 times is a lot, but it's a nice map and a nice meta, so why not? I'm at 75 successful metas now, so quite a bit still to go, but I'm chipping away at it every now and then. I don't really like joining just for the Octovine, so while raiding has taken a huge chunk of my potential meta running time, this one has slowed in the past months.

Fractals of the Mists

I run CMs and T4s mostly when people invite me to, even though I could be doing them more often. I obtained the Infinite Mist Omnipotion in October 2022 and have started working on the account augmentations, which may be a bit of a dubious choice considering how often I play that mode.

Raids and Strike Missions

I began raiding in April 2021, and since one week that summer I've done full weekly clears with my static. My room for expansion on that front is mostly just learning new roles I haven't played yet, but I'm a bit lazy when it comes to gearing, so progress on that is slow. As far as (EoD) strikes go, I don't have anything resembling a static for the CMs, but I try to join existing groups when available.

Astral and Stellar weapons

Slowly but surely I've been making these sets with the Kralkatite Ore I gain passively from the home node and daily Black Lion Season 4 Contract deliveries. At this point, I'm done with the Astral set.

Heroic Dragonsblood weapons

And the same goes with Branded Mass. After two more inscriptions I'm done with the episode-specific material and "only" need to sink in a bunch of ascended materials to actually finish the weapons with the vision items I collected.

Mastery Points

I kind of want to collect them all, but realistically, there are a few that are pretty tough to obtain. As of right now:

• Core: the Ambrite weapon collection needs a lot of work, and the fractal weapon ones I'm just working towards passively as well.
• HoT: I've finished this category!

• IBS: Just missing the 40 DRMs one. I'll get to it eventually.

Guild Wars 1

Kind of a weird goal for Guild Wars 2, isn't it? Well, it does provide rewards to GW2, so it kinda makes sense. I wanted to finally give it a proper go after sitting on a gifted copy since all the way back in 2013 I think, and while I absolutely suck at it, I have played a bit every now and then. Right now, I've reached Lion's Arch while also doing my best to keep the cartography title progress on track.

Historical

First ascended armor set

Having a warrior as my main, I had started crafting a heavy ascended armor set right after finishing Meteorlogicus. My prolonged break from the game delayed finishing this for a long time, though, but in December 2020 I finished the Zojja's set for Kuang Steak.

Second and third ascended armor sets

I have completed a light Yassith's set, used by Zephyrweaver, and a medium Svaard's set, used by Soul Weaver (but might also be used by Infiltrator Duskk at times). Since then, raids dropped so many armor chests that I have spent some of those for additional armor sets as well.

Machined weapons

Ex Machina is a nice title. I spent a bunch of my map currencies on the machined weapon collections and finished it in July 2021.

Jumping Puzzles

I was mostly done with them ages ago, but Obsidian Sanctum terrified me because of its PvP angle, so my set was a bit incomplete for a long time. After the Living Story Season 1 added the incentive to visit there for an Aetherblade Cache, I finally jumped through it – with no player interaction to my surprise – and now it's finally also done.
