Legendary Relic is a type of legendary equipment that, once equipped, has the power to take on the properties of any other relic. It was introduced in The Realm of Dreams release of the Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure expansion cycle on February 27th, 2024.
The Legendary Relic differs from other legendary equipment as it won't automatically include the functionality of newer relics added in future expansions. Instead, players will have to unlock each relic before being able to select it as an option in the legendary item.[1] The Legendary Relic has no visual effects.

Notes[edit]
- Despite stating in the announcement that it would "come with all Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure relic effects unlocked", the Legendary Relic does not allow the selection of SotO relics without owning the expansion.
- This is in contrast to other legendary equipment, which allows selection of expansion-specific stats without owning the related expansion.
Trivia[edit]
- Players who had crafted at least one Legendary Rune before the release of Secrets of the Obscure's second update, The Realm of Dreams, received the Legendary Relic for free.[1]
