“The Iron Legion are the guys who work day in and day out at the forge. They're responsible for making all the weapons and war machines used by the legion armies. Their motto is: "Steel won't yield."
The Iron Legion is one of the charr's four High Legions. They pioneered the development of the engineer profession, and so are recognized for their mechanical prowess, preferring to overwhelm their opponents in battle with tanks or mighty Siege Devourers. Their capital is the Black Citadel, with Smodur the Unflinching as their imperator. Tribune Bhuer Goreblade, head of the Adamant Guard, is directly in charge of all Iron Legion military operations concerning both internal and external security and defense of the Citadel and its surroundings.
| Several warbands defect from the Iron Legion to ally with like-minded warmongering warbands from the other High Legions and found the cross-legion Dominion with Blood Legion's Bangar Ruinbringer as their shared imperator as they attempt to awaken and turn the Elder Dragon Jormag into their weapon in 1333 AE. During the ensuing Icebrood War the Dominion and the Jormag-revering Frost Legion are opposed by the United Legions consisting of loyalists of the other three High Legions as well as Blood Legion rebels led by Bangar's spymaster and formed right claw, Tribune Crecia Stoneglow. Smodur is killed by Ryland Steelcatcher, one of Bangar's tribunes, and is succeeded by Mia Kindleshot as the new Iron Legion Imperator once the conflict ends in the United Legions' victory.[1] |
