Setting[edit]

The Pact Commander, adopting the title Wayfinder after their adventures with the Astral Ward, heads north to the wilderness of Janthir after the recent momentous events have left the denizens of Tyria determined to recover and build a new future together. Knowing that cooperation with neighbors will be crucial to their long-term success, Wayfinder's allies dispatch them to befriend the lowland kodan of Janthir—a dangerous land that was once home to the strange mursaat and their White Mantle sycophants.

Zones[edit]

The story of Janthir Wilds covers two new open world zones with two more to come in later quarterly updates.

Main characters[edit]

Allies[edit]

Tyrian Alliance
The Wayfinder and their Lowland Kodan allies face off against a titan.
Lowland Kodan
  • Poised Arrow — Son of Stoic Alder, he is expected to succeed his father as the Claw of Lowland Kodan one day. Eager to prove himself to protect his people against the threat posed an enemy unlike any he has seen before, his actions will have far-reaching consequences for his people and Tyria at large.
  • Stoic Alder — Current Claw of Lowland Kodan and father of Poised Arrow. Thoughtful but pragmatic, he has tried to keep his people safe even though he now finds himself thrust into events that encompass more than his sheltered community and will make him question his view of the world as well as the bonds he has formed with those he cares about.
  • Waiting Sorrow — A rogue kodan member of the Wizard's Court and creator of the Heart of the Obscure artifact who has been missing for centuries. She is suspected to have ties to the Lowland Kodan while hiding from Isgarren's far-reaching gaze for reasons that leave her true allegiances in doubt.

Main villains[edit]

Titans
  • Decima, the Stormsinger — A reckless female titan who has worked with Greer to spread corruption throughout Janthir. Her and Greer's views sometimes clash due to their different approaches on how to carry out their mission.
  • Greer, the Blightbringer — A calculating male titan who has been methodically spreading his corruption from Janthir to the Tyrian mainland in order to establish a foothold for his kind.
  • Ura — An enigmatic female titan of immense power who holds the authority to command the other titans. Her grand plans threaten to change the future of Tyria forever.
