Death Shroud is the Necromancer's profession mechanic, occupying the slot above the skill bar. Activating Death Shroud will transform you into a phantasmal state with special skills, where your accumulated life force takes the place of health but slowly depletes over time.

|1||Life Blast||Shroud||1||Shroud. Blast your foe with life force.|
|2||Dark Path||Shroud||¾||8||Shroud. Send out a claw. If it hits a foe, it inflicts bleeding and chill on nearby foes and you may cast Dark Pursuit to shadowstep to the initial target.|
|3||Doom||Shroud||¾||20||Shroud. Inflict fear on your foe.|
|4||Life Transfer||Shroud||3½||25||Shroud. Damage nearby foes and steal their life force.|
|5||Tainted Shackles||Shroud||¼||30||Shroud. Begin binding nearby enemies with your life force, pulsing out conditions; they can break this binding if they get far enough away from you. Bound foes are immobilized if the binding finishes.|
|1||Necrotic Grasp||¾||Send out a grasping hand that damages foes in a line and grants you life force.|
|2||Mark of Blood||Mark||¾||4¾||Mark. Inscribe a mark that bleeds foes when they trigger it, and grants regeneration to allies.|
|3||Chilblains||Mark||¾||16||Mark. Chill and poison the target area.|
|4||Putrid Mark||Mark||¾||20||Mark. Inscribe a mark that transfers conditions from yourself to foes when they trigger it.|

|1||Rending Claws||1||Slash your foe twice with ghostly claws to make them vulnerable. Vulnerability applied increases against foes below the health threshold.|
|2||Ghastly Claws||1¾||8||Summon spectral claws to slash your foe in a quick flurry of strikes, gaining life force per strike. This attack deals increased damage per stack of vulnerability on your target.|
|3||Unholy Feast||1||12||Cripple nearby foes and convert their boons into conditions. Release an Unholy Burst on foes below the health threshold.|
|1||Necrotic Slash||Chain. Slash your foe twice.|
|1||Necrotic Stab||Chain. Strike your foe again.|
|1||Necrotic Bite||¼||Strike your foe and gain life force.|
|2||Life Siphon||1¾||10||Siphon health from your foe. Healing effectiveness increases if you are bleeding. Damage increases if your foe is bleeding.|
|3||Dark Pact||1||15||Immobilize your foe. Bleed yourself.|

|5||Spinal Shivers||1||20||Chill your target and remove up to three boons, dealing extra damage based on the number of boons removed.|
|4||Wail of Doom||½||30||Screech a wail of doom in a cone pattern, dazing foes.|
|5||Locust Swarm||½||30||Gain swiftness and summon a swarm of locusts that siphon health to you from nearby foes.|
|Consume Conditions||Corruption||1¼||30||Corruption. Feast on your conditions, gaining health for each one consumed. You become vulnerable.|
|Signet of Vampirism||Signet||1¼||30||Signet Passive: Heal when struck by a foe.|
Signet Active: Heal yourself and mark a foe. Allied players will siphon life from that enemy.
|Summon Blood Fiend||Minion||1½||16||Minion. Summon a blood fiend that transfers health to you on each attack.|
|Taste of Death||¾||Sacrifice your blood fiend to heal yourself.
|Well of Blood||Well||1||30||Well. Conjure a well of blood to heal allies.|
|Blood Is Power||Corruption||¾||½||Corruption. Bleed yourself to grant might to allies around you and bleed your target.|
|Corrosive Poison Cloud||Corruption||½||30||Corruption. Weaken yourself and envelope the target area in a noxious cloud that blocks enemy missiles and poisons foes and leaves them weakened.
|Corrupt Boon||Corruption||½||½||Corruption. Poison yourself. Transform boons on your foe into negative conditions.|
|Epidemic||Corruption||1||20||Corruption. Apply vulnerability to yourself. Spread conditions on a target foe to all nearby foes at a reduced duration.|
WvW only: does not affect structures or targets with resistance.
|Summon Bone Fiend||Minion||1½||24||Minion. Summon a bone fiend that attacks foes at range. Delivers a crippling attack once every ten seconds.|
|Rigor Mortis||50||Immobilize your bone fiend, and it will immobilize foes.|
|Summon Bone Minions||Minion||1½||16||Minion. Summon two bone minions.
|Putrid Explosion||1||Explode a bone minion.|
|Summon Flesh Wurm||Minion||1½||25||Minion. Summon an immobile flesh wurm to attack foes.|
|Necrotic Traversal||Sacrifice your flesh wurm, teleport to it, and poison foes.|
|Summon Shadow Fiend||Minion||1½||24||Minion. Summon a shadow fiend to attack foes.
|Haunt||20||Command your shadow fiend to teleport to a foe and attack all nearby foes, inflicting conditions.|
|Plague Signet||Signet||25||Signet Passive: Transfers conditions from nearby allies to yourself.|
Signet Active: Send your conditions to a foe.

Signet Active: Sacrifice health to revive one downed ally in a target area.
|Spectral Armor||Spectral||30||Spectral. Gain life force as you take damage.|
|Spectral Grasp||Spectral||½||35||Spectral. Pull target foe and all nearby foes to you, chill them, and gain life force.|
|Spectral Walk||Spectral||30||Spectral. Create a shadowy tether and become spectral, consuming conditions for life force. You may return to your initial position by using Spectral Recall.|
|Spectral Recall||Return to the point where Spectral Walk began.|
|Spectral Ring||Spectral||¼||40||Spectral. Create a spectral ring that protects allies and inflicts fear on foes. Gain life force when a foe is inflicted by fear from this skill.|
This skill can only inflict fear on the same foe once per interval.
|Well of Corruption||Well||¼||40||Well. Target area pulses, converting boons on foes into conditions.|
|Well of Darkness||Well||¼||35||Well. Target area pulses, blinding foes with each pulse.|
|Well of Power||Well||¼||30||Well. Target area pulses, converting conditions on allies into boons and granting might.|
|Well of Suffering||Well||¼||30||Well. Target area pulses, damaging foes and inflicting vulnerability.|
|Lich Form||Spectral||1||150||Spectral. Assume the form of a lich for a brief time. Entering this form removes all other spectral effects. Gain life force when this skill ends.|
|Plaguelands||Corruption||1||90||Corruption. Create a virulent cloud that inflicts conditions on foes in its area. This plague inflicts additional conditions every second it persists. Inflict bleeding on yourself.
|Summon Flesh Golem||Minion||1½||48||Minion. Summon a flesh golem to attack foes with crippling claws.|
|Charge||¾||40||Command your flesh golem to gain stability and charge a foe, knocking down or launching enemies in its path.
|1||Life Leech||6¼||Leech health from a foe to heal yourself.|
|2||Fear||1¼||10||Make your foe flee in fear.|
|3||Fetid Ground||¼||20||Create fetid ground that damages and poisons foes.|
|4||Bandage||49¼||5||Call your allies for help. Restores health while you channel it.|
These skills replace the main skillbar after activating the specified primary skills.
|1||Deathly Claws||¾||Send out grasping claws to damage your foes.|
|2||Lich's Gaze||¼||Fire a debilitating projectile at a random nearby target.|
|3||Ripple of Horror||½||15||Launch a wave that terrorizes foes it hits. You may activate March of Undeath to shadowstep to the wave.|
|3||March of Undeath||12||Shadowstep to your Ripple of Horror, destroying it.
|4||Summon Madness||Minion||1½||30||Minion. Repeatedly summon minions that explode after a period of time if they are not killed.|
|5||Grim Specter||¾||30||Siphon health from nearby enemies over time, gaining vitality each time you hit an enemy.|
Players struck by this ability lose equivalent vitality.
