Environmental puzzle is an unofficial collective term for various areas, usually in the open world, that feature many puzzle or platforming elements along the way to the final reward, usually some sort of a large chest. The rewards for solving the puzzle typically reset daily and are per character. Many environmental puzzles also give an achievement on the first completion. While most environmental puzzles are fairly linear, many of them can feature hidden chests outside of the main path or false endings.

There are several different types of environmental puzzles, although the boundary between them is often vague. Jumping puzzles tend to focus mostly on platforming, whereas minidungeons focus more on combat and other puzzles. Some mastery insights or vistas could also be considered as environmental puzzles.

Jumping puzzles

This is a list of all environmental puzzles called jumping puzzles in the game or other official sources.

Puzzles with 0 in the Gliding or Mounts enabled columns give the player Gliding Disabled and Mounts Disabled effects, respectively, or they disallow their usage by other means, such as by the puzzle being underwater. 1 indicates that gliding or mounts can be used for some advantage, such as in the jumping puzzle's beginning or to save oneself from falling damage by gliding just over the ground, but they cannot be used for the main parts of the puzzle.

Trivia

• Brisban Wildlands, Dragon's Stand, Bloodstone Fen and Bitterfrost Frontier are the only zones without a jumping puzzle. (Proxemics Lab is considered a Guild Puzzle rather than a jumping puzzle.)
• Players have been known to create their own jumping puzzles with decorations inside their guild hall.
