Gliding Disabled is an effect that prevents players from gliding. It is frequently encountered in areas such as jumping puzzles, indicated as a "no-fly zone". Gliding into one of these zones alerts the player via Gliding Disabled Warning to exit the area before the glider is disabled. The glider will not be able to be redeployed while within the zone. No-fly zones rarely extend to the floor, thus players may quickly open their glider before reaching the ground to avoid fall damage.

Trivia[edit]

  • This effect was introduced with central Tyria gliding in the January 26, 2016 update.
  • While gliding is not allowed in dungeons and story instances in Central Tyria, as well as in all the Structured PvP maps (except for the Heart of the Mists), this effect does not activate because gliding is simply not enabled at all instead of restricted.
