Virtues are the guardian's profession mechanic, occupying the – slots above the skill bar. Each one provides a continual passive effect, and they can be activated to provide a brief, but more powerful, effect to all nearby allies.

Activate: You and your allies inflict burning on the next attack.
|Virtue of Resolve||Virtue||30|| Virtue: Regenerates health.|
Activate: Heal yourself and nearby allies.
|Virtue of Courage||Virtue||45|| Virtue: Gain aegis periodically.|
Activate: Grant aegis to yourself and nearby allies.

|1||Vengeful Strike||½|| Chain. Strike your foe again.
|1||Wrathful Strike||½||Attack with a final, powerful strike that applies might for each foe you strike.|
|2||Whirling Wrath||¾||8||Spin in place and swing your greatsword while hurling powerful projectiles.|

|Merciful Intervention||Meditation||40||Meditation. Shadowstep to an ally in the targeted area and heal around them. If no ally is present in the targeted area, this ability will not shadowstep.|
|Smite Condition||Meditation||20||Meditation. Cure conditions and damage nearby foes. Deal more damage if a condition is cured.|
