College: Synergetics — As members of the College of Synergetics, we study how energy patterns form and alchemagical fractals propagate. Few beyond our college understand the philosophical and mystical complexities of our interests. We devoutly research the true nature of the Eternal Alchemy.
Personality: Dignity ("dignity") — I'm dignified even when up to my ears in mud. It's what makes people respect me. A serious, thoughtful demeanor is the route to success.
Nom was plagued by illness from a young age with each day a struggle, draining the little life he possessed, even as he fought to live, he remained poised and dignified. That was until Councillor Canni took him under her wing. Unlike most of her fellow Asura she shied away from the gadgets and gizmos that could so readily draw a crowd. So it was that Nom went on to accept her counsel and to embrace his fragility as his strength.
Tucked away in the comfort of his small dark room he studied hard, absorbing each and every syllable as they might be enough to nourish him back to good health. He learned quickly and was soon able to tap in to and draw strength from the abundant life forces around him.
It began with small insects before moving on to rodents and other small mammals. It wasn't until he realised how his abilities were starting to affect those around him that he realised the day had come for him to take his first tentative steps outside of Rata Sum.
Although his body was still weak, his will was strong. As he began to explore the world outside of the safety of Rata Sum it became readily apparent that the world could be a dangerous place to the uninitiated. He watched and learned from nature itself but instead of channelling life, he used the dark arts of Necromancy to do his bidding, raising his own expendable minions to do the hard work for him, much like the Golemancers before him.
He went on to surpass his mentors teachings and set out to make his own mark on the world. He went on to become something of a zealot of his own cause, pushing his own boundaries, exceeding his own limitations. As his knowledge of Necromancy grew so too did his own strength and the use of the life forces he tapped in to.
Nom's obsession with Death took a whole new turn during his time in the jungles of Maguuma, the stronger the foes were that he faced, the stronger he became and eventually there was no living creature on Tyria powerful enough to cause him any concern.
It was in the Arena that the true challenge beckoned and he rose to it with a passion. The arenas has taken countless lives and while others may have entered with some trepidation, Nom felt empowered here for he was not afraid of death, for he was death.
His opponents would rush at him, thinking his frail form a weakness, but time and again they would fall at his feet. So it was that one such day that three opponents that had previously fallen to him approached as he guarded an objective, upon seeing him they turned and fled in terror.
All too soon his time in the arenas was over.
For now Nom consoles himself with furthering his studies as he awaits news from distant lands.
The news he was waiting for has finally arrived and with it tales of wondrous places and new found riches. The timing couldn't have been any more perfect. For the first time since his birth his mind and body finally had a synergy to match his indomitable spirit.

A build with good sustain the Minion Master has but one rule, look after your minions and your minions will look after you, as your minions siphon health with each attack and transfer it to you. Your minions also draw conditions from you (every 10secs) and send it to your current target on their next attack. To heal your minions enter Death Shroud and use Life Transfer to help keep them alive. If they begin to fall, re-summon them to sustain your resilience.
