계정 생성[edit]
계정 생성은 이 페이지에서 가능하다.
E-mail Address: 말 그대로 메일 주소이자, 로그인 계정이다. 변경이 가능하다.
Display Name.####: 사람들에게 보여질 내 기본이름이다. 띄어쓰기 가능하며, 대소문자는 남이 나를 볼 때만 구분되며(귓속말 보낼 땐 구분안함) 뒤에 붙는 숫자는 랜덤이다.
- dieAsura.5823 : 뒤에 숫자는 무작위다.
- Charr or Nothing.2321: 띄어쓰기 가능하다.
- AAaaA.4235 : 이 아이디는 aaaaa.4235 라고 입력해도 동일하게 인식된다. 하지만 남들이 볼 때는 AAaaA.4235 로 보인다.
이메일주소와 디스플레이네임은 나중에 변경 할 수 있다.
가입하고나면 메일 주소로 인증 메일이 날아가니, 활성화하도록 하자. 핸드폰 OTP는 걸어두면 좋다.

제큐 어디든 아무데나 골랑 유럽서버에서 해도 되지만 북미서버에 대부분 많다.
캐릭터 생성[edit]
캐릭터 생성의 중요한 부분은 종족, 직업 두가지다. 이 두가지는 절대 바꿀 수 없다. 성전환은 가능하고, 나머지 부분은 스토리가 조금 달라질 뿐이지 게임 플레이에 엄청난 영향을 주진 않는다.
종족[edit]
길드워에서 플레이 가능한 종족은 다섯개가 있다. 박스 안에 번역된 것들은 종족 생성시 캐릭터의 배경설정을 설명한 것으로, 아무거나 골라도 상관없다. 스토리가 조금 달라진다.
아수라 Asura[edit]
대파괴자의 활동으로 지하에서 쫓겨나 지상으로 진출한 종족으로, 참피 같이 생긴거 치고는 종족 대부분이 저수준의 인성 교육과 고등 수준의 교육을 받은 것이 특징이다. 반인륜적인 윤리 의식으로 실험을 자행하는 인퀘스트가 주 적이다. 그치만 인퀘스트가 아닌 아수라들도 자기네만큼 교육 못받았을 거라면서 우쭐대는 애들이 대부분이라 다른 종족이 보기엔 모든 아수라들은 그냥 다 밥맛없는 놈들이다. 이 종족의 어린 아이들은 프로지니(Progeny)라고 불린다.
PvP 유저들은 얘네로 하면 클릭하기 힘들겠징~ㅎㅎ 하면서 주로 생성하는데, 표준 모델 기능이라는 걸 쓰면 어차피 똑같이 보이니까 의미 없다. 아수라는 거대한 대검도 젓가락처럼 작아지니까 남자다운 무기를 다룰 사람들은 거대한 차르를 하도록 하자.
첫번째는 어떤 발명품이 스내프상을 수상하는지에 관한 스토리이다. 두번째는 캐릭터의 발명품이 어떻게 되었는지 관한 스토리이다. 세번째는 홈 인스턴스에 나타날 조언자를 결정하나 게임플레이에는 전혀 영향이 없다.

차르 Charr[edit]
저돌적이고 전투적인 고양이과 포식자. 늑대인지 뭔지로 착각하는데, 고양이과가 맞다. 사회구조 자체가 군국주의로 이루어져 있으며 계급 형식은 로마의 것과 유사하다. 기계를 다루는 아이언 리전, 은밀한 기만 작전을 수행하는 애쉬 리전, 그리고 전방에 나서는 블러드 리전 세개로 이루어져 있다. 신을 거부하는 차르의 사상을 부인하고, 인간들처럼 신을 섬기고 보호를 받아야 한다는 사상 때문에 배제 당한 플레임 리전과 아스칼론 지역을 되찾으려는 아스칼론 망령이 주 적이다.
차르들은 한 때 아스칼론 지역에서 살았는데, 오래전 아스칼론을 인간들에게 빼았겼다. 이들은 아스칼론인이라 불리게 되었고, 오랜 시간 뒤 불길의 전쟁(시어링 Searing)으로 차르들에게 아스칼론 땅을 빼았기게 된다. 패배를 인정할 수 없었던 아스칼론 왕 아델베른은 포 파이어라는 금지된 마법을 사용하여, 국민 전원을 유령으로 만들어 영원한 전쟁을 벌이게 된다. 이것이 바로 차르들이 아스칼론 망령들과 싸우는 이유다.
플레임 리전은 신에게 보호받는 인간들이 부러워 거짓된 신을 섬기는 자들이다. 처음에는 화염용 프라이모더스의 하수인을 불의 신으로 오해하여 섬겼다. 그 하수인이 어떤 영웅들에게 죽임을 당한 후, 게헤른 바엘파이어라는 차르가 플레임 리전을 이끌고 있다. 그는 자신을 신이라고 주장하여 플레임 리전의 추앙을 받고 있다. 추가로, 플레임리전은 철저한 남성중심사회로, 여성 전투원 자체를 찾아 볼 수 없다.
차르의 어린아이들은 컵(Cub)이라고 불린다.
다음은 캐릭터 생성에서 보는 선택지이다. 첫번째와 세번째는 스토리에 영향을 주며, 두번째는 스토리를 진행하면서 누가 같이 함께할지 결정하게 된다. 동료는 어차피 1~3장 밖에 못보니까 그냥 막골라도 상관없다. 신경 쓸 사람이 있을진 모르겠지만, 첫번째는 Warband Support 종족 스킬에서 어떤 소환물이 나올지에도 영향을 준다. 쓰는 일 전혀 없는 스킬이니 마찬가지로 신경 쓰지 않아도 된다.

휴먼/인간 Human[edit]
여섯신을 섬기고 그 신들의 가호를 받는 종족이다. 한마디로 좆도 없는데 신빨로 대세가 된 종족이다. 여왕 제나의 통치를 거부하는 산적들과 백색망토단(화이트맨틀) 그리고 켄타우르스들이 주 적이다.
인간은 보통 다섯 지역의 인간으로 나눠진다. 오르, 아스칼론, 에본호크, 크리타 그리고 엘로나이다.
오르인은 신들이 티리아를 떠나면서 모종의 사건으로 멸망하였다. 신에게 의존하던 자들의 바람직한 최후다.
아스칼론인은 길드워 1에 등장하는 약탈자 인간들로, 멀쩡히 잘 살고있는 차르들을 아스칼론에서 몰아내고 자기네들이 눌러 앉은 국가적 전범 이력이 있다. 이들은 다시 반격해온 차르들에게 맹공을 받는데, 패퇴 직전에 패배를 인정하기 싫어한 아스칼론 왕 아델베른의 사악한 마법(포 파이어 Foe Fire)으로 국민 전원이 끊임없는 전투를 하는 죽지않는 유령이 되었다.
에본호크인은 길드워 1에 등장하는 메스머 그웬의 후손들인데, 자기 조상들이 아스칼론을 침공하던 때는 기억 못하고 차르들이 비사회적인 야수놈들이라고 모독하는 프로파간다에 넘어가는 멍청이들이다.
크리타인은 여왕 제나의 통치를 받는 인간들로, 이중 일부는 아스칼론을 되찾으려는 차르들에게서 도망가고 크리타에 정착한 아스칼론인들의 후손이다. 참고로, 이 여왕은 자신의 모습을 본뜬 미니어처를 모든 이들에게 공짜로 제공해주는 관심병자 여왕이다.
엘로나인은 티리아 중부지방의 인간들과 다르게 사막에서 사는 이들이다. 이들 대부분은 팔라와 조코라는 언데드 리치에게 세뇌교육을 받아, 언제나 "조코께 영광을(Priase Joko!)"를 외치는 것이 특징이다.
인간의 어린아이들은 차일드(Child)라고 불린다.

노른 Norn[edit]
거인족. 자연의 영혼들을 섬기며, 그 영혼처럼 되기를 바라다 못해 변신 할 수 있게 된 이들이다. 이 컨셉대로 엘리트 스킬로 한 15초 정도 변신할 수 있는데, 그냥 재미용이지 실제로 쓰기에는 극단적인 상황밖에 없다. 이들은 북유럽 전사 컨셉으로, 위대한 전투, 위대한 모험을 외치면서 뇌 비우고 자살하러 달려가는 것이 특징이다. 자연의 영혼이라 하기 어려운 존재인 조막(얼음용)을 섬기는 스바니르의 자손이 주 적이다.

실바리 Sylvari[edit]
페일 트리와 함께 출현한지 30년 정도 밖에 안된 신생 종족이다. 사실 초창기엔 엘프 컨셉이었지만 식물로 바뀌었다. 이들은 원래 꿈의 세계에서 산다. 그러다가 어느 시점에서 페일 트리의 부름을 받는데, 그때 현실세계에서 몸을 얻고 활동하게 된다. 이들은 와일드헌트(Wyld Hunt)라는 일생에 있어 이루어야 할 목표를 꿈에서 꾸게 된다. 신생 종족이다 보니 종족 자체가 순수한 편이다. 덕분에 근처에서 사는 아수라들에게 사기를 주로 당하는 편이라고 한다. 페일 트리와 연결을 극단적으로 거부하는 이들인 나이트메어가 주 적이다.
실바리의 어린아이들은 샙플링(Sapling)이라고 불린다.
다음 선택문에서 첫번째와 두번째는 스토리를 결정한다. 세번째는 스토리 미션중에 나타나는 퍼스트본의 탄생시를 결정한다. 또한 일부 엔피씨의 대화문이 바뀐다.

모험가 직업군 Adventurers[edit]
Engineer[edit]
This question determines whether you start with a back item or a head item. The back item ordinarily does not become available until completing a storyline mission rated at level 33, or purchased for 1 gold if your guild has an armorer contract. Taking the back item as starting gear gives you a significant advantage over other classes in this regard. However, the item has no inherent stats and must be upgraded with a component to be useful. (Note that currently nothing can be used to upgrade it, which is believed to be a bug.) The helms on the other hand will give you an immediate bonus to defense which would otherwise not be available until level 10. The choice of helm is cosmetic.

Ranger[edit]
This question determines which pet you start with. Each pet has different qualities; follow the links below for details on each pet. For your starting pet in particular, you may wish to consider the difficulty (inconvenience) of taming the pet in the wild. Often this is tied to your race, as creature types tend to be based on the environment. In this sense, it is most advantageous to start with a pet that would otherwise require the most effort to obtain. Another strategy is to take an amphibious type above all others to ensure that you always have a pet for both land and water.
