Why are there so many unexploded mortar shells everywhere?

Some shells go "boom!" Some shells go "fzzzt." Not every shell works right. Some are duds. I'd appreciate [sic] if you'd gather up the duds. I hate cleaning.

Why is that one mortar not being used?

It's an experimental version, but it hasn't been test-fired yet. You can give it a try if you'd like, but it's just as likely to backfire as work properly.

Tell me again, what sort of operation are you running here?

I'm not really in the mood to experiment today.
