The Dark warband has been stationed out here for years. Our legionnaire, Kyron, invented some of the equipment we use to purify the water. We're a well-oiled machine. When the Flame Legion isn't interfering, that is.

Why do the Flame Legion care?

Don't try to understand them. It's enough to know that they want us to fail, suffer, and die. They know how important this lake is to the legions, and they take every opportunity to make it unusable. Logic doesn't play a role in their motives.
