One of Havroun Weibe's shamans, Hallveig, has reported that the Raven Sanctum has recently been taken over by the Fallen Voice and the Fallen Claw. Raven Shaman Hallveig is looking for volunteers to enter the sanctum and cleanse it of this menace.

Weekly Strike Mission: Voice of the Fallen and Claw of the Fallen is the second strike mission introduced into the game, taking place in Sanctum Arena.

Getting there[edit]

After selecting one of the modes, either Public or Squad, players will be put into a new instance with up to 10 players. If a Public mission engages the boss with fewer than 10 players, it will be locked down and no more players will be able to join.

  • Portal in the middle of Bjora Marches.
    • Only available during its appropriate weekly rotation.
  • Strike Mission portal in Eye of the North.
    • Available at any time, no matter the weekly rotation.

Walkthrough[edit]

This strike mission acts as a good entry point for players tackling instanced content for the first time. Players will be introduced to the concept of 10-player content in a low-pressure environment and can then attempt the Shiverpeaks Pass and Fraenir of Jormag strike missions, which are of similar difficulty. Due to their relative ease of difficulty, these three strike missions are collectively referred to by the community as the "IBS EZ3" strike missions.

Claw of the Fallen[edit]

Enrage Effect: Defeats all players

The Claw applies melee pressure and can knockdown players. They will occasionally team up with the Voice to unleash powerful attacks.

Boss mechanics
  • Flying Hammer - The Claw leaps to a target and slams its hammer, dealing medium damage.

  • Hammer Lunge - The Claw swings its hammer three times, dealing increasing damage with each strike. Targets hit by the final strike are knocked down.
  • Hammer Slam - The Claw slams its hammer, dealing medium damage.
  • Hammer Spin - The Claw spins, launching nearby targets. Redirects arrows fired by the Voice, leaving behind damaging magic fields.
  • Vengeful Aura - The Fallen pulse a volatile aura that deals damage to all foes every 3 seconds.

Voice of the Fallen[edit]

The Voice applies ranged pressure and can immobilize players. They will occasionally team up with the Claw to unleash powerful attacks.

Boss mechanics
  • Arrows of the Fallen - The Voice launches an arc of six arrows, each dealing medium damage.
  • Doubled Deluge -
  • Ghostly Arrow - The Voice fires an arrow that bounces between nearby targets.
  • Ghostly Grasp - The Voice fires an arrow that splits and tracks enemies, creating immobilizing traps at each point of impact.
  • Groundpiercer
  • Escape - The Voice leaps backward, leaving behind a trap that immobilizes enemies.

Strategy and Tips[edit]

Healing and boons are proximity and priority-based, so it is important to stay near the group be in range of receiving them. Swiftness.png Swiftness is one of the few boons not removed when engaging a boss in instanced content and can thus be applied to the group beforehand.

Overview
  • Projectile destruction and reflects can negate almost all of the Voice's attacks. Prioritize using these skills for the Ghostly Grasp attack. Otherwise, condition cleanses are helpful in removing the Immobile.png immobile condition if players get hit by it.
  • Players can apply either Aegis.png Aegis or Stability.png Stability to negate the knockdown from the final hit of the Claw's auto-attack chain (resembles the Scrapper's Rocket Charge). The Claw can also leap to targets, so it is ideal for players to summon pets and minions during the fight and not before. Otherwise, the Claw may target a pet or minion then leap into the outer ring with the damaging field.
  • After some time and throughout the fight, the Claw and the Voice will each teleport to a different part of the arena. They will then team up for a powerful special attack before reverting back to their own skills. This usually requires players to reposition if they want to continue attacking the original target.
  • On a fixed pattern, the two Fallen will teleport to the center of the arena and merge into a single target. Their defiance bar will unlock as they cover the arena in a damaging field in a fixed pattern. Breaking this bar will disable and split them apart.
  • Both bosses should be killed around the same time therefore it is ideal to cleave them together. Otherwise if one boss is defeated before the other, the remaining Fallen will become Vengeance (Mordrem).png Enraged then teleport to the center of the arena. Similar to the above, they will sequentially cover a quadrant of the arena (starting west and moving clock-wise) in a damaging field. After completing a full rotation, the Fallen will unleash a shockwave dealing heavy damage. The empowered Fallen will gain another stack of the Enraged effect and repeat the process, gaining additional stacks per completed cycle. Players should stand on the southern quadrant then move to the western quadrant right before the final damaging field. Players must then dodge or jump the shockwave before returning to the southern quadrant and repeating the process.
South start

This start makes it easier to cleave both bosses in the beginning. However, it can result in more group movement compared to the north start.

  • Players should position themselves close to the southern outer edge of the ground pattern. This minimizes the distance needed to reach the Voice before the fight begins.
  • Focus on the Voice while cleaving down the Claw.
  • After the teleport, focus on the Voice (west) then switch to the Claw once near 20% health. Take care not to stand in the damaging field.
  • After the next teleport, focus on the Claw again (north). The shockwave can be blocked, dodged, jumped, or mitigated with stability. Depending on the group's damage, either continue to focus on the Claw until it is defeated, or split focus between both bosses.
  • Defeat the remaining Fallen once it teleports to the center of the arena.
North start

This start can result in less group movement compared to the south start. However, it is harder to cleave both bosses together in the beginning.

  • Players should position themselves close to the northern outer edge of the ground pattern. This minimizes the distance needed to reach the Claw before the fight begins.
