Graphics[edit]
Flames of War is a Balthazar-themed torch. Acolytes, clad in red cowls, form a circle around the top of the torch, which resembles a summoning circle, surrounded by candles.
- Aura
- While the weapon is drawn, the user's arm is encased in a red fire.
- Draw/Stow effects
- Upon drawing the weapon, the shouts of warriors can be heard and a burst of orange and red light is seen.
- In combat stance, a red hologram of Balthazar is visible on the top of the torch and the acolytes light the upper row of candles surrounding the summoning circle of it. Smoke effects that are similar to the purple smoke wisp effect of The Ascension emit from it.

- Leaves red summoning circles.
- Skill effects
- Ranged skills will throw the torch instead. This effect changes the following skills:

- It is recommended that you do not attempt to stat change your precursor item with the standard stat swap recipe in the Mystic Forge. While you will be provided with an item with the desired stats, it will have been replaced with a generic ascended item that cannot be used as a legendary precursor.
