Specialization Collections

Specialization Collections is an achievement category for collecting weapon and armor items related to the elite specializations and the revenant profession.

Mechanics

Each specialization collection is unlocked by training the first minor trait of the respective elite specialization, except for the six Mistward armor collections. Achievements for the Mistward armor items are instead unlocked by completing the associated revenant core specializations.

Acquiring some of the collection items requires training the relevant expansion's mastery track. See the respective achievement page for each collection for the specific masteries required.

The Heart of Thorns elite specialization's weapon collections require unlocking a Machined weapon of the matching type, while the Path of Fire collections require both the special named version of exotic Sunspear weapon and a Mordant weapon matching the type. If two of the same expansion's elite specialization collections are for the same type of weapon, then obtaining them once counts for both. For example, completing the Machined Shield achievement will count for both the herald's Glint's Bastion and the chronomancer's Horologicus collections.

Additionally, the nine Heart of Thorns weapon collections require unlocking a respective Mystic weapon skin. It involves crafting an exotic Mystic weapon which can be expensive depending on the current price of Mystic Coins. As the result, acquiring a HoT elite specialization's ascended weapon through these collections might be noticeably more expensive than the typical cost of crafting a regular ascended weapon with a non-unique skin.
