With the facility now unlocked, head for Pol's cell. After the cinematic you must defeat the Code Golem that appears. The Code Golem gives you the code "3-1-1". Approaching Pol's cell:

Pol: Hey! Over here. Help!

Cinematic with Pol:

Pol: I knew you wouldn't leave me to rot. Varkk's krewe takes care of its own. I don't want to be too negative, but I absolutely hate it here.
<Character name>: That makes two of us. Now to get you out.
Pol: Easier said than done. The door opens only to the correct code. If you try and fail, it sets off an alarm.
Pol: There's a golem upstairs that generates the code. It changes all the time. Even the guards check it before they open the door.
<Character name>: Then I'll check it too...and knock its block off. I'll be back as soon as I retrieve the code from its smoking ruins.

While fighting the Code Golem:

Code Golem: Unauthorized—access. Prepare—to—be—terminated.
Code Golem: Structural—integrity—failing. Require—assistance—and—validation—of—loyal—effort.
Code Golem: Further—damage—sustained. Structural—integrity—at—50—percent. Feelings: hurt.
Code Golem: Unit—damaged. Prepare—to—receive—a—reciprocal—beating.
Code Golem: Structural—integrity: zero. You—win, intruder...this—time.

Interacting with the defeated Code Golem:

Code Golem: A still-functioning memory unit inside the wreckage is blinking. Its readout shows 3-1-1.
Talk end option tango.png 311? Cell door code: acquired!

Using the Cell Controls:

After freeing Pol:

Inquest Senior Engineer: We need those prisoners. Don't let them escape.

Speaking with your allies:

Pol: This is a bit much. Varkk was behind everything? I can't believe he turned on us.
Talk end option tango.png Believe it. He'll get his someday, but for now, let's focus on the translocator.

After the escape:

Pol: I appreciate the save, but there's more to do. The Inquest has grandiose plans for our teleporter at Rana Landing. We should tell Varkk.
Zojja: Or not. He's involved. I overheard the Inquest saying that he told them of our ambush.
Pol: That doesn't make sense...unless there was something in it for him. Varkk does like control, power. What'd they offer?
Zojja: He's maneuvering for a seat on the council. With the Inquest backing, he'd have all the influence he could ever want.
Pol: Oh, yeah? Well, after what he did to us, he deserves a gigantic screwdriver influenced into his skull. I may not be a hundred percent, but I want in.
<Character name>: Good. You and Zojja, meet me at Rana Landing. I won't let the Inquest keep our invention, but I will show them the power of a real genius at work.

My story[edit]

Monkey Wrench.jpg

With the help of Zojja and Mr. Sparkles, I rescued Pol from the Inquest. Our traitorous krewe chief Varkk may have escaped, but I'm glad I chose to save my krewemate's life. Pol was all fired up after his ordeal, so he's joining us as we take down Teyo and recover the Transocator device.

Trivia[edit]

  • The binary in the system error code translates into "Hacked!" in plaintext.
  • With the exception of the sender, the mail you get from trying to reset a password while interacting with Security Terminal is the same as during Unwelcome Visitors.
If you have conditions on the Password golem, it could die before you can talk to it after turning friendly. If this happens, simply continue on, and use the Code "311"
