  • Throughout the Blast Delay, the Blast Gyro is also a Fire Combo Field.
  • This skill is a rare example of a self-contained combo. The skill provides a blast finisher and a fire field at once, giving you a fire blasting combo that provides AoE might to you and allies near you.

  • Adjusted might from 2 stacks for 6 seconds to 1 stack for 12 seconds in PvP only.

  • (PvE only) Now stuns enemies for 3 seconds instead of knocking them back. Damage multiplier increased from 2.65 to 3.5.
  • (Undocumented) Now stuns enemies for 2 seconds instead of knocking them back in WvW and PvP.

  • (Undocumented) Added tooltip fact Defiance Break.
February 25, 2020 Competitive content update:
  • This skill is now considered an Explosion for the purposes of the Explosives trait line.
  • (Competitive split) Reduced power coefficient from 2.25 to 0.01. Reduced might duration from 8 seconds to 6 seconds. Reduced cooldown from 25 seconds to 20 seconds.

  • Gyros can now be used underwater.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented Shocking Speed from granting superspeed on the final tick of Blast Gyro.

  • This skill has been reworked and renamed Blast Gyro. The gyro now creates a fire field that follows the engineer while it pulses might to nearby allies every second during its countdown to a significant explosion.

  • This skill now scales its damage with the engineer's attributes.

  • Blast Gyro has been added to the game.
