Trivia

• Despite being more closely related to Felines, Hyenas in reality developed traits through convergent evolution that make them more biologically similar to canines.
• Before the release of Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire, there were no examples of healthy hyenas; all of them had what appeared to be chronic mange. The Elonian hyenas, however, appear healthy and fully furred. They even have several color variations.
• Elonian myth claims that hyenas were present in the Desolation when Abaddon was imprisoned by the Six Human Gods, and that they are still laughing at him to this day.
