Overload. Unleash your flames, granting might to allies and burning enemies. Finishing the cast creates a tornado that continues to grant might and burn foes. Using this skill causes the attunement to have a longer recharge.

Notes[edit]

  • Pulses 10 times; 5 during the skill channel, and another 5 from the fire tornado the skill creates when the channel finishes.
  • Combos for a total of 7 burning bolts.
  • Direct damage scales with the equipped (main-hand) weapon. Default damage in PvE for exotic Dagger or Scepter is 330, for Staff 363, without weapon 239.
  • The maximum number of targets is 5 for both damaging and boon effects, although it is not listed on the tooltip.
  • The cast time of this skill is ~4.5s, although the tooltip says 4s.
  • Casts Sunspot at the beginning of the channel during combat only while using Fire specialization. Starting combat with Overload Fire will not trigger Sunspot.

February 25, 2020 Competitive content update:
  • Increased the might granted per pulse from 1 stack to 2 stacks in PvE. Clarified the description of this skill.
  • (Competitive split) Reduced might duration from 12 seconds to 6 seconds.

  • Casting this skills now triggers the trait Sunspot.
December 11, 2018
  • Fixed a bug in which this skill hit fewer times than intended when the elementalist was affected by quickness.

  • The duration of might has been increased from 12 seconds to 16 seconds per pulse in PvE only.

  • Fixed a bug that occurred when One with Fire was equipped without Unstable Conduit.
August 08, 2017 Path of Fire pre-patch:
  • The physical damage has been reduced by 10% in PvE only.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the effects of this ability to scale with the character's size.
October 23, 2015 Heart of Thorns release:
  • Overload Fire has been added to the game.
