  • Unlike its land version, Throw Mine, Deploy Mine's mine is cast right in front of the engineer.
  • With Gadgeteer, 2 mines are created instead, with both mines created adjacent in front of the engineer.
  • The mine(s) causes 200 Defiance bar damage.
  • The mine(s) is proximity-triggered, but the engineer may also manually Detonate it.
  • The mine(s) last for 60 seconds, and then disappear.
  • If this skill is used outside of combat and then replaced by another utility skill, the mine(s) will remain in place.

Version history[edit]

  • Note: Deploy Mine shares some of its skill version history with Throw Mine, but not all the changes made to the land skill were also applied to the underwater skill. As such, it's difficult to discern which changes to Throw Mine were also applied to Deploy Mine. This version history might be incomplete, or show changes that have never been made to Deploy Mine.

  • The mine will now detonate immediately if there is an enemy target in proximity when the mine lands. Boons removed from targets increased from 1 to 3.

August 08, 2017 Path of Fire pre-patch:
  • Added a missing skill fact for the number of boons removed.
  • Increased damage by 20%.

  • Skills that count as explosions for the traits Steel-Packed Powder, Explosive Powder, and Shrapnel are now marked with a skill fact.

  • The recharge of this skill has been reduced from 18 seconds to 15 seconds.
