Spirit Release is the guide's unique mechanic replacing his weapon skills for a short duration of time. The skills gained depend on the state of the guide's Balance gauge when Spirit Release was used.

Skills

When under the effect of Spirit Release, these skills replace the normal weapon skill bar. They can't be changed but can be upgraded through the use of traits. The skill Cancel Spirit release is always available, but the other skills depend on the state of the Balance.

Skill	Recharge	Description
Cancel Spirit Release		Ends the Spirit Release ahead of time.
Neutral Spirit Release
Spirit Flash		Flash to target and strike.
Spirit Dodge	10	Hit, retreat, then unleash a magic strike on the area surrounding your previous position.
Crashing Strike	12	Flash to target and cause an explosion.
Piercing Charge	25	Knock down the enemy and Flash behind them.
Stamina of the Dead	30	Grant Swiftness and Vigor to all allies.
Physical Spirit Release
Spiritual Claw		Strike the enemy twice.
Darkness of the Underworld	10	Darkness of the Depths: Strike your foe and blind any nearby enemy.
Weapon of Soothing	15	Creates a Weapon of Soothing that grants regeneration when picked up.
Auspicious Parry	20	Auspicious Parry: Channel to block attacks and grant retaliation to allies in a large area.
Spirit of Anguish	25	Weaken enemies and make them vulnerable.
Magical Spirit Release
Demotivation		Weaken and damage your foe.
Spirit Gale	8	Launches all enemies in the area without damaging them.
Vengeful Spirit	15	Strike and confuses all foes around the target
Ancestor's Fury	20	Gain fury and might and hit all enemies in a large area around you.
Radiant Wings	25	Hit every enemy around you with ethereal wings, gain swiftness, then crash the wings to hit every enemy in a large area.
