Dialogue[edit]

Oh! Sorry, I can see you are curious. I'm a soulbeast. I'm communing with my companion right now, so you'll excuse me for being distracted.

What companion? I don't see anyone.
You wouldn't, no. She's here with me, but we're merged as one. Together we're stronger, more powerful.

Where does this ability come from?
The first soulbeast was a ranger who sought to surmount all the natural challenges of Tyria. She forded flooded rivers and reached the pinnacles of the greatest peaks.

She sounds impressive.
She was. Then she heard of the vast deserts of Elona, so she journeyed here to challenge herself. Two weeks in the dunes, and she was dying of thirst.

How did she survive?
Her raven saved her. He gave her his strength, merging with her. They were able to survive long enough to find water. Sadly, the legend lives on, but her name's been lost to history.

That's a pity.
It is, but she isn't completely forgotten. She trained others who, like her, wanted to challenge themselves against the elements. They taught others, and that's how we came to be.

I have another question. (Same as "All right. I like educating people about..." below)

That's quite a history.
Talk end option tango.png
Thanks for the story.
Talk end option tango.png
I think I've figured out the ending.
Talk end option tango.png
Never mind. I'm not interested in this tale.

Do soulbeasts use weapons, or do you go in with your bare hands?
We use weapons. I like to face my enemies with a dagger in each hand. It feels personal, and it takes a certain amount of courage. I'm always pushing myself.

Talk end option tango.png
Just don't push too far too often.
Talk more option tango.png
What can you do that a ranger can't?
I can host the spirit of my companion, gaining some of their strength and abilities. I can be strong as a bear and fast as a tiger. It's freeing, and in a way, humbling.

Talk end option tango.png
I'll let you two talk.
Talk more option tango.png
What are you doing out here? (Same as "Ultimately, I want to be the first to befriend..." below)

I'll let you two talk.
Talk more option tango.png
What are you doing out here?
Ultimately, I want to be the first to befriend a hydra. Right now, I'm resting and healing. I've been challenging myself, both physically and mentally, and I overdid it a bit.
Talk more option tango.png
Can you tell me about soulbeasts?
All right. I like educating people about my specialization. What would you like to know? (Same as "You wouldn't, no. She's here..." above)
Talk end option tango.png
Feel better soon.
Talk end option tango.png
You seem busy. I'll leave you be.
