Yoso is a Catalyst found in the Petrified Woods in the south-east region of New Kaineng City. He is stationed above the Misa Village point of interest and acts as an elite Specialization Mentor.

Sorry, I... Are you an elementalist? Never Seen one wield a hammer.
- Keen eye. Yes, I am! A catalyst more, specifically. Name's Yoso
- What's a "catalyst"? I don't think we have those in Tyira.
- That doesn't surprise me; catalysts are ancient Canthan warriors. We used to be protectors of the empire, but only a few of us still practice the craft. We are the bedrock of Cantha's armies...
- They sound pretty important.
- Quite. Willbenders protect the emperors and their families, catalysts held the front line.
- Are you still active in the army, then?
- No, unfortunately we are not. The Ministry of Security disbanded are old defense structure... Those of us who still practice the art are the children of those protectors. Grandchildren, too.

- Hmm, well, maneuvering combat with a hammer slows us down a bit more than daggers do... But it packs a punch when it connects. It requires a great deal of focus. Patience.

- This is my jade sphere. Catalysts imbue a great deal of our power into it, creating... massive wells of power, you could say. Xunlai Jade has helped us revitalize the old technology.
