  • The firewall is created over a range of 400 units, ending with a blast reaching approximately 640 range.
  • The firewall inflicts damage and burning each second.
  • The blast at the end affects up to 5 foes.
  • Fire fields will not generate if the character's position does not change significantly (for example, running against a wall).

Patch Changes
February 25, 2020 Competitive content update:
  • (Competitive split) Increased cooldown from 12 seconds to 15 seconds.
August 08, 2017 Path of Fire pre-patch:
  • This skill can now only damage an enemy once per second.
  • Fire-wall damage has been increased by 100%, and burning duration has been increased from 1.5 seconds to 2 seconds per tick.
October 18, 2016
  • The recharge time of this ability has been reduced from 15 seconds to 12 seconds.
June 23, 2015 Specialization update:
  • Increased the burning duration from 1 second to 1.5 seconds per pulse.
  • Movement-speed adjustments no longer affect the intended travel distance.
September 09, 2014
  • No longer generates fire fields if the character's position does not change significantly (for example, rolling against a wall).
April 15, 2014
  • This skill now evades attacks.

  • Burning Speed has been added to the game.

Trivia[edit]

  • Gwwlogo.png A Guild Wars skill bears the same name as this skill.
  • Originally, this skill would cause the user to leave burning trail behind them wherever they went. This kind of effect probably influenced the unique effects of many legendary weapons.
