February 25, 2020 Competitive content update:
  • Slowed down the animation so the strike occurs at 0.6 seconds (up from 0.3 seconds).
  • (Competitive split) Reduced power coefficient from 1.25 to 0.01. Reduced ammo recharge from 25 seconds to 20 seconds.
August 08, 2017 Path of Fire pre-patch:
  • This skill now uses the ammo system.
  • Ammo count has been set to 2, with a 25-second count recharge.
  • There is a 5-second recharge between each use.

Trivia[edit]

Original icon
  • Reference to the movie Goonies where the character Data uses a concealed, spring-powered boxing glove as a weapon (the original icon during early development for this skill was a boxing glove).
  • The engineer has an extremely low chance of shouting "surprise!" when using this skill.
