Light source effect using a torch.

Light source is an unofficial term for any source of light that also illuminates nearby surroundings. The simplest way to achieve this is by wielding a torch, which typically emits a warm orange firelight that can be seen by nearby players. Some items will produce light without also illuminating the area, notably molten weapons.

Notable exceptions[edit]

These items have a particle effect that includes a light or glow that does not illuminate the surrounding area.

Notes[edit]

The light source from a torch will sometimes not activate, even when torch skills are used. Being knocked down or taking falling damage will occasionally fix this.
