Bounce an orb of energy between foes and allies. The first hit applies torment, while subsequent hits to enemies apply confusion. Allies that the orb bounces to gain fury and might.

  • When cast by a clone, the durations of applied torment and confusion have been reduced from 5 seconds to 2 seconds in all game modes.

  • Increased projectile speed by 25%. Increased casting speed by 0.1 second. Lowered aftercast animation lock by 0.2 seconds. Fixed an inconsistency with projectile behavior after bouncing. This skill now applies torment for 5 seconds to the first target struck and confusion for 5 seconds on subsequent hits to enemies. Allies hit gain might for 5 seconds and fury for 3 seconds.

  • (Competitive split) Reduced power coefficient from 0.3 to 0.2.

  • Reduced bleeding duration from 7 seconds to 4 seconds.
  • Fixed a bug that caused clones using this skill to inflict vulnerability instead of torment.
  • Reduced torment duration from 5 seconds to 4 seconds.

  • Instead of inflicting vulnerability, this attack now has a chance to inflict 1 stack of torment for 5 seconds.
June 23, 2015 Specialization update:
  • Mesmer skills that create bouncing projectiles will now have them bounce one additional time.

  • Fixed a bug that caused this skill to only inflict 5 seconds of bleeding instead of 7 when used by clones.

  • Fixed the bleeding skill fact to display the proper duration when Chaotic Dampening is equipped.
