Template:Experiment weapons nav

Looks good, could possibly call it "Template:Experimental weapons nav" instead? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 16:56, 26 December 2015 (UTC)

That is an option for sure, I simply chose 'Experiment' as this was the name on all the previous wanted links. Switching it to 'Experimental' would require to go back through all previous (red) links and alter them. Would that be the better option? - Darqam (talk)
I can do that no problem. Thanks for setting up the template though :D -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 17:02, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
Ok great. I'll alter what I've done for the current precursor experiment weapons. As well, I am currently working on the 'Precursor Experiment weapons' page (as it is on the wanted pages list). Should I change that title to 'Experimental weapons' or simply have a redirect in the nav? -Darqam (talk)
It doesn't really matter, as you can create the page wherever you wish and can rename it later with Special:MovePage if we need to. However, I think that in this case creating the page at Experimental weapons would be adequate. (Special:WantedPages can be a useful special page, but often highlights templates with odd values in it - e.g. this template linked to "Precursor Experiment weapons") -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 17:19, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
edit: you'll probably notice that Template:Weapon set table doesn't work well with 2 weapons of the same type, I'll look into fixing that template. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 17:22, 26 December 2015 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks for all of the work and help. I'll keep looking at the pages to see if I missed something. If possible, could you tell me how you 'moved' the template page? I've been trying to figure that out in the past but to no success. -Darqam (talk)
Whoops, I appear to have linked to a page that you can only access via the "Move" tab. This image File:User Chieftain Alex move button.png should help you find it - its right beside the edit button. (old red theme) -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 17:35, 26 December 2015 (UTC)

Yassith's weapons

These are weird. The item API for Yassith's Musket (72279) lists the skin as Terracotta Antique Musket (4210) (and the skin API shows a link to the pink icon). However, the item API itself shows a link to the green icon. Have either you or Ventriloquist checked these skins/icons ingame? -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 17:18, 28 December 2015 (UTC)

Ok, after changing some of these, I did an small investigation with my guild. Short answer... it's a mess. Seems like longbow is terracotta, but spear is crimson. Sooooo.... not too sure what to do at this point. I think I'll let it sit for a while until I can get a screenshot of everything. The one I can confirm 100% is longbow is terracotta. -Darqam (talk)
Oh yeah, it's a completely inconsistent jumble. Most (all?) HoT-released weapons have icons that differ from their related skins, meaning that either the icon or the skin is incorrect. I haven't checked anything yet, since I mostly create new pages according to the api, but whatever mess is currently in-game is the mess that we should follow. —Ventriloquist 17:33, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
The thing I have been following so far is to type in the item link in GW2 chat, and copy the skin link from what it shows. This 'seems' the be independent of anything else, so long as the item code is correct. Should we proceed with this? - Darqam (talk)
edit: Ok, with the help of my guild [Att] we got a ping of each skin from people's crafting panel (RIP useless recipe books), Seems each and every skin is Terracotta. I'm not quite sure what jumble is where, but I think I am willing to call this settled on the Yassith's front.
p.s: Seems like all (or most) of the new ascended stat weapons are terracotta.
Seems I may have been premature. Going by API entries, all Yassith's are Terracotta skins. I'll have to check chatcodes when I get home, but the icon should match the skin unless there's a bug. I see that on occasion with old PvP weapons, but those are pretty buggy and not being updated much any more. SarielV 20 x 20px 17:59, 28 December 2015 (UTC)

HoT stat ascended water breathers

I don't think they exist yet and I haven't seen any recipes of such drop from fractal boxes. You might just want to hide them from the armor navs and delete the pages until they decide they want to add them to the game. -Seylan 118.209.129.160 07:41, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

I am at the moment struggling with a few ideas. Either keeping the links red (I dislike this), removing the links from the ascended nav (would require making a new template for the new armor stats), or changing the aquabreather pages to "this content does not exist yet but might eventually". My thinking is I don't want people looking for it and just thinking the wiki is missing the info. That being said, if they don't exist and I put them up as present, that is just as bad. -Darqam (talk) 14:40, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
They will exist if you stat-swap a breather than can be made with a recipe yes? If so, just comment out (<!-- {{recipe}} -->) the recipe template and put a line in that it can be made by stat-swapping in the Mystic Forge. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 15:46, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
I don't think you can put any of those breathers into the MF. Seylan (talk) 15:47, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
According to an old reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3py0om/ascended_aqua_breather_stats_not_changeable/) here, aquabreather (ascended) are not visible in the MF, so no stat swap on those. I'll be back at my desk in a few minutes, and for now I will add a note on each page mentioning the lack of availability. But I would like to have a better solution (I like cleanliness and consistency >.<) -Darqam (talk) 15:53, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
I edited one of the pages into the proper format for future content (that is, unimplemented content that likely will be implemented at some point; unimplemented content that likely will not be implemented would instead say status = unimplemented). I would recommend not including them in the navboxes yet, since that typically implies current availability. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 18:34, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
Alright, I'll swap what I can to that soon(ish). In order to not have those linked in the nav box, is it alright if I go ahead and create a 'new' asc. armor nav for the new stats which simply does not include the aquabreathers? If so I would then implement that in the new armor pages as well (oh boy, this feels like a lot of work). -Darqam (talk) 18:41, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
Hmmm... The weapon set navs have a simple toggle which lets you hide the aquatic ones. I was thinking something similar could be done with the existing template so there doesn't need to be a completely new one. -Seylan 118.209.129.160 21:24, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Descriptions

Hey Darqam, thanks for all the editing. Just a heads-up on another annoying aspect of Anet coding.

Descriptions are actually a variable attached to items. You can see one used for Twilight Vol. 3 via the API. Some items actually have no description, such as this one for HOPE Vol. 3.

Hints are an annoying feature that the wiki has decided to gather into one place, namely on the collection page, instead of the item's page (I've just been shuffling them off under a pointless "hint" parameter for posterity's sake, though that is probably not necessary). If we want to help people get the item, we can describe it better under the Acquisition heading. G R E E N E R 19:09, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Hum ok. I'll stay away from those until I get a better idea of what that actually is. Thanks for the info. -Darqam (talk) 19:38, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

Licensing for icons

Hi, just a quick note. When uploading icons, select "icon" from the drop-down licensing menu. Thanks! —Ventriloquist 21:31, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

Well crap... I was looking for that option but couldn't find it. Will do from now on. -Darqam (talk) 21:34, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

Quality of edits from IPs vs signed in users

Checking the changes made with the edit in question is always a good idea vs just looking at the ip or username of an editor and deciding to revert the edit anyway. In this particular case, the old "Has game context" property was replaced with Property:Has context and the edit was just updating the wikilink. But yeah ny edit summary was totally unrelated to the edit! -149.254.235.233 23:11, 9 February 2016 (UTC)

Mordrem Stonehead render

You sure that's the Mordrem version? I believe the mordrem is more green and not striped - and that render seems to show scales, not the typical plant texture that mordrem (even saurian mordrem) are seen to have.
As an aside, the text you added to Thaumanova is on nearly every asuran structure - labs all over the game use that same texture. More appropriate on Asura. Konig 20:55, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Oh boy... hum... I'll check when I get in game but I *might* have used the wrong texture file. I'll get a real screenshot to check (and by consequence replace it on the wiki anyway). It did look kind of non-mordrem looking but I didn't give it a second thought unfortunately. Thanks for the heads up and I'll update when I get the information. -Darqam (talk) 21:22, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
Update: Yeah you were right, BUT.... my error made the wiki a better place in the end, so it's all good... right? Anyway, thanks for the watchful eye. -Darqam (talk) 02:46, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

One Quick note

When you're adding new pages about stuff that happens in the HoTs maps, don't forget to put | status = hot in the infobox. =) - Doodleplex 21:48, 19 February 2016 (UTC)

Ugh, crud; forgot about that one... *sigh*, thanks. -Darqam (talk) 21:52, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
One quick thing I just learned, if the infobox has a level (which all the ones I've seen you use do) put {{Event rewards}} at the bottom and it generates the rewards. (I can add the event NPC's and Foes in later so you don't overwork yourself if you would like.) - Doodleplex 21:58, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
Aye... there is that too. Feel free to add those on to the ones I forgot (i.e most of them). I've been mainly focusing on grabbing everything from my past screenshots and getting them on the wiki. I figured other details could be addressed later. So feel free to do it, or I'll get to it eventually. -Darqam (talk) 22:02, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
Event rewards aren't always accurate, e.g I got almost 32k xp for the TD VOX event... Presumably only if you do a complete chain? -86.137.119.227 23:05, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
Just chiming in, don't do this. Tag the page with {{Heart of Thorns content}}.--Relyk ~ talk < 02:59, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
Oh? I had always added |status = hot to previous pages I worked on (mainly weapons and armor). Is there a difference in where one should use one option over another? I am fine switching use, but would like to know when to use which one.
If the page has an infobox, you should be using the status parameter, not sure why Relyk thinks otherwise? -81.153.70.18 11:33, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
I already posted on {{infobox status}}, the template describes the temporal status. Whether the content is part of Heart of Thorns is completely independent. The value can be removed removed once we have a proper solution for tagging HoT content.--Relyk ~ talk < 16:56, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
Oh I see, HoT content is not 'time-limited' so it doesn't belong in 'status'. Ok will keep that in mind from now on and I'll try to take a look back at previous things when I can.
I came over to tell give Darqam a thumbs up because why not and found this. There are many things that have | status = hot in them should most of them be removed for {{Heart of Thorns content}}, or just leave it alone and going forward use {{Heart of Thorns content}} for all the HoT stuff? Or does the | status = hot only go into infoboxes and other HoT stuff that doesn't have that an info box get the other tag? I'm a tad confused and don't want to get it backwards.(having a learning disability sucks. feh) - Doodleplex 20:32, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
True, I would like a word for word confirmation that removal of | status = hot and replaced by {{Heart of Thorns content}} is what is wanted. If that is desired on every page, I can always run my 'bot' on the (apparently) 5522 wiki pages. The work would be similar to that done on [test cleanup]. This would evidently take a while so I can probably take it down little by little whenever I have some time. -Darqam (talk) 21:12, 24 February 2016 (UTC)

event indicator

icon templates like {{event icon}} usually default to {{icon}}. As for event indicators, the 4 icons for Dragon's Stand are: Event vine (map icon).pngvine, Event pod (map icon).pngpod, Event dragon (map icon).pngdragon, Event mordremoth (map icon).pngmordremoth. The yellow triangle shows you all the values that it accepts. Hope that helps. Edit: Shows how much time I spend in DS. (disregard the vine icon). --BryghtShadow (talk) 17:54, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

Oh cool, I was looking for where those are stored. Is there a way I could upload the new vine icon? I uploaded the file to a temporary name a few minutes ago. -Darqam (talk) 17:56, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

@Mora: I will try to keep that in mind for future works.
@BryghtShadow: Yeah that doesn't do it either. I had the same issue with the dry top map which took something along the lines of 2-3 days to update for me. Requests for renders

During some Dragon's Stand runs today I realized that it is probably impossible to get a good picture of the Champion Mordrem Thornheart because it's a high priority target during a zerg event, so was wondering if you could grab a render of it. Also, there are a couple (or at least one) unique mordrem during the guild hall taking. Unfortunately the wiki has no articles for them (which usually means I'd go find that out in-game but I don't have 100g to toss willynilly) and I don't have saved images from when I did my two guild hall claiming (doh!), luckily Guild hall has the names documented: Vinewrath Knight and Mordrem Maw. The former looks like Legendary Axemaster Hareth (more armor, IIRC), and the other looks like a Mordrem Spitfire (it could be the same model, memory is ab it fuzzy on that - basically a fully skinned Mordrem Breacher). I'll try to find some external source for the names but if you can get those renders of hard-to-get NPCs that'd be awesome. Konig 06:41, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

I'll see if I can find that thornheart (and also try to nab a screenshot in DS if I happen to be there). For the guild hall, I feel like axemaster was identical to the DS version (breakbar mechanic and all). I might be able to find a guild to run a new claiming and take some screenshots there. The issue is if I don't know what I'm looking for visually; I'll never find it; and in my eyes there were no uniquely skinned mobs there, so it would be a lost cause. -Darqam (talk) 16:00, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
There's a bunch of "claiming guild hall" videos on Youtube, so at least you don't have to waste 100 gold to see the appearance. :P —Ventriloquist 16:36, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
Update 1: HOLY CRAP I FOUND THE THORNHEART! I seriously did not think I would. I'll try working on it soon.
@Ventriloquist, Will do, that's actually a very good idea. I'll check to see if there are any re-textured/new mobs and update accordingly.-Darqam (talk) 16:57, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
Update 2: Ok, first draft of the render is done and visible here. I can't unfortunately throw all that nice green glowy effect on it since I have 0 idea how the post-processing/special effects is done. If there is something minor needing to be altered (angle/lighting) feel free to speak up and I'll tweak it when possible. -Darqam (talk) 03:29, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
Until someone manages to get a proper image, that should do. Next time I'm running the meta I'll try to camp their spawn positions for a fast image before the zerg reaches it. Konig 03:43, 9 March 2016 (UTC)
Though I imagine it looks just like a regular Karka, can you see if there is a render for the Legendary Karka Queen? Like Thornheart, she's hard to get a clean shot of without being attacked by half the map lol. Also your table on the 3 DS bosses, it says 'Axemaster' is not found, does that mean you can't get it so I next time I do DS, should I try to screenshot it? =o - Doodleplex 16:55, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
I'll try and look for karka queen, but no promises since, as you said, it might not have a unique model. As for axemaster, yeah I have not found the model yet. Regardless though, a screenshot is always better than a render. So if you come across anything (even if it's in my queue) go ahead and screenshot it :D. -Darqam (talk) 19:26, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
edit: first pass through I have not seen any other model than the vet karka (so I obviously missed something), but at first glance no hint of a unique model for KQ. Regardless though, is that really needed? The current picture looks pretty good and epic imo. -Darqam (talk) 20:41, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
The Karka Queen (and the Ancient Karka) uses a unique karka model which has coral on the main body (as seen in the current image). I would have requested such but I have a stockpile of KQ images that I need to look through and as Darqam said, the current image isn't too bad (I want one that is without effects or damaged shell, personally). Konig 22:16, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
Resurrecting this since yesterday I got to run two back to back guild hall claiming missions. I have screenshots of both mobs which were asked for: File:Mordrem Maw temp.jpg, and File:Gw277.jpg (this one is the legendary mordrem axe dude, name got overwritten). To me they seem to share the same model. I do have a better screenshot for the axe guy, but it's harder to see the overall model on it.
So to me it seems like the models are shared on everything so there is no need to get new screens/models. -Darqam (talk) 15:43, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
Yup, seems to be the same models. I should have updated a while back, but when I thought there was an "Axemaster Hareth lookalike" model, it was before I knew that Hareth has an "armored version" and an "unarmored version". Said screenshot is of armored version, so I guess that when I saw it and noticed "hey it's similar but slightly off" I must never have seen him armored.
Also, for temp or personal images, slap 'User' and your username before it. In this case: File:User Darqam Mordrem Maw.jpg.Konig 17:28, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
Well this guy behaves the same way as Hareth. Once you broke his CC bar he had a no-armor Hareth look. As for image names, I'll keep that in mind for next time. I'll toss a delete tag on them soon enough now that you've seen them. -Darqam (talk) 17:36, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
While on the subject, any chance you took note of the objectives of the events and the like? Those are all redlinks still and need filling out with more than "everything is a section stub!". Konig 02:48, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
*rubs hands together* Oh I am so glad you asked. I documented the sh*t out of the encounters. I have all the dialogue, mobs present, and events. Only thing I missed were the attacks, but given that their animations where identical to the DS versions, I assume they share the same name/characteristics as well.
My only issue is I couldn't find where to throw all of that. The guild hall page seems to have described everything without an event page. So should I just create an event page for it and place everything there? -Darqam (talk) 02:52, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Equipment Screenshot Meta

"If taking screens with a charr is not OK, I have a norn... but... equality among all races... right?" There is no such thing as equality. There is no real meta either (as far as I know), though I personally prefer humanoid (that is human and norn) characters for equipment shots. Why? Asura are generally quite small, resulting in miniature weapons and armour, which means that the images will end up being tiny as well. We don't really need previews for ants. Charr on the other hand are big and bulky and tend to distract from the actual item that is being showcased (plus their posture is not really grand for taking proper images). Sylvari do not work because I don't like them since we should aim for consistency in appearance and upholding a certain "standard". For that reason, norn and human are generally preferable, particularly females, as they are similar in appearance (and to a degree in posture), and tend to distract less from the object in focus. In case of norn, equipment appears to be bigger than in comparison to other races, which is a further plus for taking screenshots. This is my personal view, and I am in no position to tell you what you should do or not (and to be honest I would not even want to as patronising people is annoying), but I thought there is no harm in sharing this. That said, equipment images using charr, asura or sylvari as model are more than likely to end up on my mental list of equipment images that need to be replaced (and I eventually replace these unless I do not own the skin, in which case I can only stare at the images in question and writhe in agony). I'm pedantic when it comes to images and image quality...

Aside from this, regarding File:Adventurer's Mantle.jpg and File:Assaulter's Spirit Ward wielded.jpg I recommend taking screenshots in Lion's Arch, as the lighting there is the best. Try Seylan's Cliff of Contrast (up on the rocks next to the Diverse Ledges Waypoint) or the Rock of Judgement (next to the Durmand Priory Research Site), although the latter is better for tonic shots.

Sorry for bothering you with my ramblings! User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 10:30, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

We had a discussion about this back when the German wiki was mass uploading all the weapons you see today. You're correct about asura (too small) and charr (too bulky); sylvari don't really have neutral colors for their skin (perhaps grey/white, but then again). Generally you want some sort of contrast (skin/weapon) as to differentiate the weapon from the character, for which the (fe)male humans are best. —Ventriloquist 10:58, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
Ok I'll see what I can do to re-upload things with humans. But given that I don't have all human/norn professions. Some might not be possible. I'll try to 'fix' the screenshots this evening. -13:12, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
No worries, I can take care of the Adventurer's Mantle (and the Scarf and Goggles while I'm at it). I was planning on taking a few images today either way as soon as I completed the Auric weapons (two more story runs, hurray). Thank you for your cooperation. User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 13:36, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
Ideally, the character would also be tall with short cut hair (avoid clipping) that contrasts with whatever's being screened, but that's asking for a bit much :p. I don't mind Norn but the tatts can be distracting. Seylan (talk)`
Well if Norns aren't OK then I only have my thief which obeys the female human meta; so that's limiting :p. I'll see what I can do, and if people don't like it they can upload better version themselves when they can ;) -Darqam (talk) 15:06, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

Image Finder

Since I don't know how I've got a request for you. Can you go though the game files to see if the loading screens for all(except Arah) of the dungeons have a different image than the story mode for each dungeon? I have a theory they all have a separate image, as I'm trying to info for dungeons(so many red links! Scary!) and what I see on the wiki does not match what I see when I load the dungeons. Also we need the icons for: File:Spray.png and File:Guild PvP Reward Track 6.png, and I'm not sure if we have the gliding kit icons from Shatterer, could you find those as well? - Doodleplex 19:00, 23 March 2016 (UTC)

I'll have to take a look in game for the images first. The issue with looking in the dat is all the images have numbers, listed in order that they were put into the dat. The moment I can I'll get that stuff in there. I had been wanting to go on a loading screen binge for a while so maybe I'll start with this. As for the glider icons, I recall them being recycles images. I know number 2 is an engineer heal, and the number 3 is also a heal (not sure which class); the number 1 I can't recall the icon. I should have a decent amount of free time coming up in the next few days, so I'll do that if no one else gets to it. -Darqam (talk) 19:14, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
I found the loading screens yesterday whilst I was digging up the Heart of Thorns ones, they're in the folder named Textures > UI textures > 1024x512.
However, dr ishmael's folder on his userpage should have the loading screens for tyria dungeons in it. For example, I just did honor of the waves + the two files are a) different, b) next to each other in the .dat file, and c) already on the wiki! (but not in use!)

Cool. Yeah I'm aware of where all the loading screens are, but I was not confident putting them up without seeing them IG first. But, much less work for me to do since you've looked into already :D -Darqam (talk) 00:37, 24 March 2016 (UTC)
The Twilight Arbor (exploreable) loading screen has actually been changed as of the Twilight Assault update in 2013. The current one should be moved to a historical name and the new one uploaded. Konig 01:22, 24 March 2016 (UTC)
Ok well the new one is here. I didn't upload a new version since it mentioned maybe a historical status might be needed. Also... why the hell are these all jpg files when the raw file is png?-Darqam (talk) 14:26, 24 March 2016 (UTC)
My guess is that they want icons to be the only file to use .png, all other images should be .jpg? Anyway, many thanks for that list! I've linked them to the dungeon pages now, but I have another image question/request. It is it possible to get the icon file for the new Guild mission icons (for example File:Guild Puzzle.png looks like screenshot) or is that the file? If not can an icon be made for guild ents like Subdue and capture 2-MULT which uses the new guild icon and not that star? - Doodleplex 23:39, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
That file seems to be the dat version of it. As for updating the icon, are you sure the star isn't used in map? I thought I recalled seeing it, but I very well might be wrong. If it has changed, then we would need to swap it out on the Icon page. My only issue is the image you have is twice the size of a regular icon; making me think that what you linked has another purpose than an npc icon. I might take a closer look at it when I get some in game time to do solo missions. Other points of views on the matter would be nice. -Darqam (talk) 01:02, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
That looks like the icon for the guild panel, and it sounds like you want the icon that's above the NPCs' heads, correct? Konig 01:17, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, like here: http://imgur.com/UC3lakV as the image over his head is the same as the icon for the event. Those icons in regards to guild mission icons. - Doodleplex 01:51, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
Ok, I've added updated the three icons. They are File:Guild Bounty (map icon).png, File:Guild Challenge (map icon).png, and File:Guild Race (map icon).png. If I could get an in game confirmation that these icons are correct, we could add the missing ones to the Template:icon page and avoid a quick revert. -Darqam (talk) 15:59, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

Help with Prison Camp encounter - bosses and effects

Any chance you could help flesh out timers and the bandit champion skills and effects in play for this encounter? I think I've infuriated certain people enough trying to get the effect IDs, bundle items and descriptions today during the fight :P. I'll get back to you on the name of the encounter I swear I saw once I figure out how to sleep again. Seylan (talk) 11:33, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

Sure thing. I was hoping to do that this weekend, but after almost killing a machine worth more than everything I own, my plans for playing this weekend were scrapped... I'll get a group together soon that I know will progress slowly and 'use' them to get the info :p. I'll take a look at what is there and attempt to get the rest. -Darqam (talk) 15:40, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
Name of the encounter: "Salvation Pass—Oil kegs will now properly be destroyed if players are still carrying them at the end of the “Protect the caged prisoners” event." [1] Seylan (talk) 05:41, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
Oh cool. Now follow up question, do we link it as "Protect the caged prisoners" since it is an event and not a boss (thus no single name to link), or do we find it another name? I am all for getting rid of "Prison-Camp", that name was taken quickly to have something there and has been a pain ever since.
As I'm looking into the event, I notice that the two event objectives are "Protect the caged prisoners" AND "Defeat the three bandit champions"; so maybe naming the encounter "Bandit Champions" might be a nice alternative?
Timers so far: start encounter with 9:00 (but can complete event before that). Berg spawned at 6:55, Zane at 4:55, and Narella at 2:52. I assume there might be some few seconds of wiggle room in those spawn timers since those seem like bizarre times. Also, I should be able to grab most of the skills within a day or two. -Darqam (talk) 15:20, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
Update: I got most (all?) the skills and effects for the 3 champs; I'll put those in probably fairly soon. -Darqam (talk) 05:26, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
Bandit champions seems nice. Prison camp encounter would be more descriptive than Prison-Camp but it's not really a boss but an event... Seylan (talk) 07:42, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
Right, my current 'issue' is that with the appearance of the Prison Camp encounter, we might get more encounters instead of bosses in future raids; some of those encounters might not even have a boss at the end... who knows. I'm not sure talking about this on my talk page is the best place to do so, but I think it would be a good idea to iron out what standard we want. For now though, I think I vote renaming Prison-Camp into Bandit Champions (I'll put a notice on the talk page and wait a bit to see if there is opposition).
If we do end up seeing more of these encounters over straight up bosses, the boss nav might need to be re-worked into an 'encounter-nav'. Hopefully this would mean effectively no changes, but it's probably good to keep in mind. Was this originally what you meant with the nav changes? -Darqam (talk) 15:31, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

Item screenshots

I'd suggest you run the -bmp line for your GW2 shortcut to have the screens as a lossless format (I hope you have HD space though lol), so when you crop and export as .jpg it won't be so jagged. With ingame settings, if you turn zoom sensitivity all the way down, you have much finer control over how much you can zoom in before it goes first person. Also, you can get closer to the edge (like at the cliff corner) so that it doesn't show the ground. Just some tips :P. If you want a screen of where I stand for mine I can take one tonight. Seylan (talk) 07:41, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

This screenshot club is so damn picky >.>. I'll keep that in mind, but honestly probably won't redo the screenshots I did anytime soon. Future screenshots (if any) will probably be done following this advice. -Darqam (talk) 15:19, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
Well, we've got to be picky! Don't want the wiki to look shabby. Priorities! :P
Anyway! If it's okay with you I'd kidnap you one of these days (as soon as my NA character is able to enter LA) and take/redo some equipment shots. In exchange I can take and render some fancy images of your characters for your character pages or for wallpapers/forum signatures or whatever else you can think of.
By the way, I also recommend using the other camera functions as well (Field of View and both Vertical sliders set to zero, the latter depending on the weapon size for zoomed in shots) for even better results. User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 15:53, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
I had though of the vertical sliders but forgot about the PoV. As for the kidnapping, might as well. I have... 300+ transmutation charges at the moment I think, and no use for them. I can't link my wardrobe through gw2efficiency but if need-be I could always screenshot it... or find whatever other way to go through some stuff. I don't have an overabundance of skins, but I do have a decent amount. I'll try to make myself a list of skins I have which could be used for screenies. -Darqam (talk) 15:59, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
All right, thank you! I'll approach you when you least expect it... *vanishes* User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 16:37, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
hum... crap... *curls up in a corner* It's all ok, it's all ok... right? -Darqam (talk) 16:39, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
Oh yes, definitely. Everything is okay... no worries. Would you like some candy...? User Incarnazeus Signature.pngtalk 16:42, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

*magic*

Yeah I was only doing that on historical items that we'll likely never get the icon for. Not so sure about doing it (read: maybe not best practise?) to do that for future items that will get an icon eventually. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 22:01, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

yes Mr. chieftain sir; will refrain from doing that. -Darqam (talk) 22:04, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

Nightmare Chamber images

Y'never know. Some people might have old old images lying around and seeing that could prompt them to go "oh hey I think I got that" - I know I have a ton of images from S1 I've yet to sort through. I might even have it. That's kind of why I added all of those. But I won't contest the act of hiding them. Konig 15:58, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

Just checked my old images... the irony. I do have an image of Caithe as a hallucination... but there are players blocking the NPC. xD Konig 16:09, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
So really what you are saying is I done good by forcing you to look through your old screenshots. I REGRET NOTHING! -Darqam (talk) 16:25, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

Skin ids for consumable items

  1. Take the item id from ingma/item infobox/api/dulfy (78105)
  2. Visit https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/items?ids=___ and add the item id to the end (https://api.guildwars2.com/v2/items?ids=78105)
  3. Read off the details:skins bit ("details":{"type":"Transmutation","skins":[6665]})
  4. Copy the skin id from here (6665)
  5. Paste into skin infobox as id

Node locations

Random thought if you are anyone else is interested (I'm thinking Doodleplex might be :p), document the locations of the ancient/ori spawns in the HoT maps (especially ancients in AB, and any rich ori node locations + perma). As well, document the spawn points of the Toxic Seedling nodes in Kessex. These can be lucrative and mindless farms if you have another account to hold an instance(s) open and taxi through, and have multiple toons. Toxic Seedling locations are fixed to an IP, and I think have the same 1 hour respawn as regular nodes. There is one real one in a cluster and the rest are fakes. You can hold an instance and farm on multiple toons like with the wood farm in Malchor's. There's a LOT of ancient wood node spawns in AB, and a perma ori at the waterfall at Eastwatch. Seylan (talk) 02:21, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

For the Ori node, I know there is a rich one going up the rata novus ramp; but can't remember many off the top of my head. If I start heading back into HoT zones enough, I'll start documenting where I see them. Probably pop a map up with red dots or something as I move forward. -Darqam (talk) 03:12, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
There's another possible rich ori node by the Elite Chak Zapper (kinda north of the diving goggles). As for ancient wood: one east of SCAR wp, one south of Ogre wp. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 17:33, 7 April 2016 (UTC)
For the sake of the colour-blind among us, please please use "not-red" dots, that stuff just doesn't show on the various shades of green/brown/dun coloured maps, route maps lifted from Dulfy.net with routes in thin red lines are just plain awkward to interpret. White or something similarly light would be preferable --BramStoker (talk, contribs) 07:46, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

Commander Axe rename

Given the silliness of that name, I must wonder how upscaled you were and if there were other commander/vinewrath knights that looked/were named different? Konig 17:27, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

I do agree that the name is just straight up ridiculous, but we were only (and one was dc'ed when he spawned). My guess is that there 'might' be 3 different champions (axe, sword, and staff), but I don't recall this being the case when I first claimed it with a big guild. So fault of having any other inputs I'm classifying this as the only solution. I would be more than happy to change it if someone shows that there are different ones. I mean... that name just looks bad in writing and while saying it... -Darqam (talk) 17:32, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
I'm bettering an oversight in unintended change, given that it's the model for the axe-using mordrem guard commander. Upscaling in guild hall claiming events scale like the guild hall map instances - meaning the first upscale happens at 6 people, second at... I want to say 26th person? Anyways, there were two when my guild of ~20 did it and one when my group of 5 (strategically chosen) did it. Same with number of Maws that popped up each round. So doesn't sound like an upscaled situation but an actual name changed situation.
Most likely the name got changed to the internal term used for that model. Konig 21:45, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

Legendary nav

Saw you wanting a nav for legendary weapons/precursors, so I made one in my sandbox. See anything you want to change, go for it. I'll implement it later --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 01:31, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

But... {{Legendary weapon nav}} we have one. Konig 02:14, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
... rage. However, the one I made also links all the precursor crafting steps (and really that's what Darqam wanted anyway I think) --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 02:59, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
That ends up getting clunky however. But the current nav shows the precursors if you're on a legendary weapon (and perhaps precursor?) page. Observe: On The Flameseeker Prophecies it shows The Chosen Experiment, Perfected Shield, and The Chosen at the top of the nav. Konig 03:46, 22 April 2016 (UTC)
The issue with the current nav system is the lack of symmetry between gen 1 and gen 2. Where gen1 has experimental, perfected, precursor; gen 2 has three uniquely named weapons, which technically don't fit in gen 1 categories, thus the issue of throwing everything in one nav. Perhaps implementing a secondary nav for those might work, but making it look pretty and similar to the other nav is the problem. -71.17.146.41 04:28, 22 April 2016 (UTC)

Undo regarding specialization weapons

Hi. I understand your undo, but isn't the Machined weapon account-bound anyway? Wouldn't it be more convenient and reasonable to link directly to the item, which is a much more useful page than the skin's page? I'd expect most people who click the link to want to go to the actual item page (and it has a link to the skin as well). Before your undo, I had already made a few changes on the various specialization weapons since the links were inconsistent (some went to the Machined item, some to the skins). If you would like me to undo my skin->item changes, as well as fix the other pages to link to the skins, please let me know and I'd be happy to do that. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Chocolate (talkcontribs) at 01:47, 7 May 2016 (UTC).

You are absolutely correct, the item is account bound and you do receive it upon acquire. I had a bad case of not thinking my idea completely through. So I'll revert my revert in a bit (or you can). Thanks for catching that. -Darqam (talk) 03:07, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
No worries, it happens. Thank you for the clarification and for doing the reversion. --Chocolate (talk) 02:26, 11 May 2016 (UTC)

Chuka

Thanks for uploading File:Legendary Chuka.jpg; very much appreciated. Could you keep an eye on his model as the hunt continues? Without tossing spoilers your way, someone had mentioned that it might change but I have no screenshot of this occurring. G R E E N E R 19:06, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

I'll do so. I just finished the second encounter with them before being blocked by a bugged event. I'll try to swap things to my thief so I can stealth and take a good hard look at their models at each encounter. I think that if there is a model change it will be present on this next encounter due to what's said on Hunter's Journal: Entry 8. As well, if there is anything that needs to be looked at, feel free to speak up. I'm trying to grab a screenshot of everything I see pertinent to the collection, but I might easily miss something. -Darqam (talk) 19:46, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
The information is coming to you third (forth?) hand. Apparently his face may change thanks to your hunt. G R E E N E R 01:28, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
So apparently, his face does not change, it is scared right from the start. I've got a very bad screenshot of the first event showing him missing his right eye (which I thought was the change). So turns out it's not a model change, but just noticing things late.
I'm currently going through my screenshots of the encounters and will upload them all (somehow) in order to make a mini-walkthrough of all the extra objects and paths to take (not that this was hard to do).-Darqam (talk) 16:43, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
Update: I've put all the screenies here for now. Some are evidently useful, others not so much. Use them as you wish. I will probably get around to using some of those eventually, but if someone gets to it before me; so be it. -Darqam (talk) 19:01, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

Specialization textures

Texture senpai, in Gw2datbrowser, where can I find the specialization textures, e.g. the lightning background for Air in File:Specializations interface.jpg?

I'm looking at File:Air.png and thinking 64px is way smaller than it appears ingame, and i'm wondering if the full size version of it is just a small section of the rectangle bit highlighted. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 13:44, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

I've seen those before in the dat... give me a bit to find them (i.e maybe a few hours minutes). -Darqam (talk) 16:35, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
Ok so I've got an answer for you (with a few holes in it). Seems like all those icons, are indeed just 64x64 images. You can find them in the UI Textures->64x64 starting at 1011983.png; and the elite specs are : 1029930->1029934
Some (not sure why not all) of the trait line art is found in 1024x256 near the end. Notice file 1015129.png which is a mask where the 64x64 picture belong. -Darqam (talk) 17:00, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
As per small in-game talk, I looked into the API, and found all the images in the sub-parts of v2/specializations (use v2/professions to know which index are of interest quicker), but everything still seems to be the 64x64. I'll keep looking around for higher res ones, but so far no luck. -Darqam (talk) 19:23, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

Render request 2.0

I'm really not sure if you can get it, but if you could would you nab a render of the Prime Hologram, Ultraviolet Hologram, Dynamic Hologram, Static Hologram, and Synergetic Hologram? I'm not sure they'd exist because 1) temporary content, and 2) usually these things just use a texture filter or something (e.g., ghosts) on a standard model, but I think these five are different as they don't look like the usual "standard model with a special effect changing the texture" kind of thing. Konig 04:35, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

Droping a note here so you don't think I missed it. I've found the files involved with the patch where these guys were dropped, unfortunately it was a rather significant patch so there are quite a few files to run through. I think I am getting close to where they should be (if they exist at all). I can't do a whole lot more today but I should know within a day or two if they exist and if I can do anything with them. -Darqam (talk) 23:33, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
I've been digging around some more but for some reason I'm having problems finding any of those breachmaker models (knights and holograms). I found a 'battle ready Scarlet' model and the original aetherblades, but no sight of the holograms. Perhaps it is as you say and they were simply re-skinned older models, in which case I highly doubt I will find them but I'll keep looking every now and again; just don't have high hopes. -Darqam (talk) 20:03, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
I'd imagine they would have been added near the assault knights should should definitely have their own place, unless it got removed for whatever reason. Konig 01:05, 22 June 2016 (UTC)

I'm gonna space off a little as I have a separate request, do you think you can get the render for the Fire Elemental (boss) as a) much like the Kara Queen, it's hard to get a picture of the thing without players in it and b.) I want to know exactly what it's supposed to look like, because it doesn't seem to really have any sort of shape or figure, just looks like a really big fire to me. - Doodleplex 20:20, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
I'll tell you right away Fire Elemental will most likely not happen. It's mainly a ball of special effects without a main skeleton. I'll take a look into it, but given that it's going to be bundled in all the startup models and it's such a 'strange' model; I highly doubt I'll find it.
None the less, I'll take a look again into both requests, unfortunately this week is going to be busy for me; maybe I'll get lucky. -Darqam (talk) 21:04, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
Ah no worries then, I'll see if I can get a good shot of it from the personal story line, just figured I may as well ask first before I went and did so. - Doodleplex 21:12, 22 June 2016 (UTC)

Spoiler tags for Stronghold of the Faithful?

I'm finally going to get around to taking a look at the pages, having been sick with a bad cold/flu the past 2 weeks and raid complications. I'm wondering, for a lot of the pages especially R.E. Glenna's speculation, Xera's dialogue and the stuff inside the Temple of Awakening, should we liberally apply spoiler tags? It just seems like a lot of major story forshadowing going on not to. Seylan (talk) 12:18, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

Typically spoiler tags are reserved for pages that you wouldn't expect a spoiler to be on (if you go to the raid page itself, you're going to be spoiled just as you will be if you read Liberation about Deborah not being dead) unless it's on par to the sylvari reveal at the end of The Mystery Cave or the fate of a certain individual during Prisoners of the Dragon. I'm not sure what potential spoilers you refer to, so I cannot say about the level of spoilers, but if it's just about the return of Lazarus or the like, I'd not bother. Maybe on NPC/PoI pages, maybe. Konig 14:15, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
I really wasn't certain myself, but I left them without for the main reason that, technically, we don't know what happened to "him". Sure we've confirmed Lazarus was a thing, but really if you hadn't guessed it by now you must of had a very comfy rock to live under. So either "He" is loose or dead, we don't know anything 100%, so I figured there is nothing much to spoil.
I agree that if there was some huge reveal (i.e Zhaitan is alive or something of the sort), then yeah spoiler tags would be needed; but I think this case gets a pass. If someone comes and ocmplains one day, I might think it over again, but so far I agree with no spoiler tag needed. -Darqam (talk) 15:30, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
TBH, I'd look at thins from the perspective of "if I've only done the story before this, without hearing spoilers from community chat, would this be a spoiler to me if I look it up on the wiki for a guide or something?" because let's face it, EVERYTHING is spoiled by reddit, forums, or map chat - so we should work on the basis of living under rocks, to a degree. The sylvari reveal is a big example - not only was everyone talking about it since it was revealed, but every media about HoT was talking about the origins of sylvari and thus everyone was spoiled for S2's ending if they had any public communication at all - I would still consider it a spoiler because it is a big one for those who somehow avoided all that (e.g., bought the game at release then picked it up randomly without hearing about HoT yet, or will be coming into the game in a year where the discussion on that reveal has died down a lot to the point where it is feasibly possible to play through without knowing, etc.). TBH, I'm considering listing The Battle of Claw Island and Victory or Death as such for the fate of the mentor and the actions of DE respectively.
That said, the return of the White Mantle or Lazarus' "return" isn't a spoiler because it was not really something ArenaNet kept hidden (we always knew the WM were still around for example). Konig 19:28, 24 June 2016 (UTC)

Tactician Zynka

You switched the image to be the shared model, but they appear to be perma-stealthed. Did you find them not stealthed? - Doodleplex 20:00, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

I did not, but there were comments on the images stating that although they were stealthed, a non-stelthed imaged was preferred. So I did that. If that's not what is wanted then it can be changed back to stealthed version. -Darqam (talk) 20:02, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
Ahh okay. I think my comment was "see this image(which was another stealthed npc) on how to shoot pics of stealthed npcs". My appologies if I confused you. - Doodleplex 20:07, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
I do remember a comment of your like that, but I do also recall a comment (and this is where I might have messed up) saying to just take a clean shot of the model stealthed or not. You are the boss of shared models however, so go with whichever you think is best. -Darqam (talk) 20:13, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

I might add my name, but honestly I just wanted to go over all those golem names. Golems are probably the NPC 'race' that I love the most in this game, their dialogues and interactions always crack me up. I shall see about future collaborations... now that Raids are on hold for a bit *sigh*. -Darqam (talk) 20:20, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
Have you followed the little messenger golem in Metrica Province? It's a funny one IMO heh. - Doodleplex 20:26, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

Regarding D-Series Golems...

There are two versions that are very close together. A blue-crystal and a white-crystal. Are you sure those you listed all have blue crystals? I made a list a while back starting with that version without realizing and have been intending to go back through the list, and your list looks similar. Konig 20:22, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

I only noticed one with white crystals (personal banker), and 3 with a green crystal (which have been separated). I'll go through the list again quickly to confirm. There is also quite a few golems without images, so those weren't listed as I have no idea what they look like. -Darqam (talk) 20:23, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
Update: Ok, dungeon vendor was also white crystals. Couldn't find any others. I've also listed most of the unique golems in a comment at the end of the whole table. I'm also aware that the kitty-golems are at least used twice, but have not put those in. I'd need to remember their names as I'm not digging through the entire list again. -Darqam (talk) 20:29, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
Professor Mew, Mr. Snuggles, Mr. Mittens and Baron von Scrufflebutt you mean. - Doodleplex 20:37, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
Added a bit more to the list. Konig 20:48, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
Sorry for the edit conflicts Konig :p. I do really really wish there was a way to know if someone else was editing the same page. I'm aware of how ridiculous that would be to work with... but I can always dream. Thanks for completing the page and clearing it up. -Darqam (talk) 21:12, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
It's a common database problem. I'm surprised Wikipedia doesn't have a better solution. SarielV 20 x 20px 21:36, 13 July 2016 (UTC)

Boss effects roundup

I managed to get a buncha them but there's still some missing, from wing 2 as well. Slothasor's Volatile Poison probably has a separate special action skill number from the effect since the change. Matthias' Well of the Profane gives the sufferer an effect called Unstable Blood Magic which I haven't managed to catch (neither the ID for the well) cos I didn't want to wipe the group. Anyway that's what I've managed so far, so hopefully you get the opportunity to finish it ;P Seylan (talk) 16:12, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

I noticed all the Xera stuff, great job on that. Not sure how you got it all that quickly... Anyway I can try for Sloth and Matthias; although Matt will be harder... Since raid 1 is all designed and out now. It might be worthwhile to make a master list of what we are missing. Maybe on the Raid project page? I know the White Mantle mobs need screenshots; and I was hoping to get that done soon with the power of a rifle scrapper... yes... rifle scrapper. Stealth+knockbacks... should be fun... -Darqam (talk) 16:15, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

Model check

I was wondering if you could dive the dat and see if you find two different Vinetooth models as it's possible that the Mordrem Vinetooth and Vinetooth Prime are different from Veteran Mordrem Vinetooth and Champion Mordrem Vinetooth (they look like they have bigger "manes" to me). It's nearly impossible to tell because of how mobile they are. Konig 19:57, 18 July 2016 (UTC)

As per in-game talk, the only model I could find is File:Vinetooth render gw2Browser.jpg. I've looked quite extensively around the cluster of HoT mobs for another one but could not find any. This isn't a guarantee that there aren't others, but a slight hint that it might just be one model. -Darqam (talk) 16:19, 4 August 2016 (UTC)

Missing Icon

I added a section on my "To Do" page of icons I come across that are needed. I'll update when I come across stuff, so feel free to poke at it. - Doodleplex 19:18, 20 July 2016 (UTC)

Uploaded Aesthetician and File:Throw (Seraph Mortar Shell).png. For the life of me I can't find the red version of those icons... they must be somewhere way too obvious. As for the shiny wyvern crystal... I kind of gave up on that one ages ago... might try to find it again. Anthem 04, I don't know what it looks like, so I can't do anything. -Darqam (talk) 19:44, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
If it's of any help the icons in red are primarily from events in the Chak Gerent. - Doodleplex 19:50, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
Your red swords...; red basket might be somewhere. Event icons are chaotically organized. Some are in Category:Map icons, some are in Category:User interface icons, and I'm sure others are placed elsewhere. I think the whole icon category system needs a look at, tbh. Konig 22:09, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
File:Flawless Tiger Claw.png I'm just gonna drop this off here. That image looks quite pixelated, can you see if that's really the .dat image and if not, could you fix it? - Doodleplex 22:56, 26 July 2016 (UTC)

(Reset indent) File:User Doodleplex Needed icons.jpg I figured a picture was worth a thousand words. We're missing these. I'll probably update it when I find more, but this is what I know we're missing for now. - Doodleplex 17:50, 22 August 2016 (UTC)

Found 3 out of 4, what is the crossed hammer one from again? File:1228922.png, File:1234914.png, File:1466384.png. Please rename those as needed and then maybe kill these links. -Darqam (talk) 19:30, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
The Crossed hammer is from Assembly Device, oh and it should be yellowish, not white. I've fixed the links, and thanks by the way! - Doodleplex 19:37, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
*grumble* yeah I can't find anything... I'll keep looking around but it isn't anywhere where I expected it to be. -Darqam (talk) 19:54, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
Hrm...well I'm sure it's somewhere. Also I don't have an image of, but can you find the icon for the crashed chopper during Against the Mouth of Mordremoth? It's the only map meta icon I know of that's missing. - Doodleplex 20:07, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
File:1228850.png this? -Darqam (talk) 20:09, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
That's the one! Thanks! - Doodleplex 20:29, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
Crashed Chopper looks like a messed up jack-o-lantern that has a comically post-destroyed sad face. Konig 21:39, 22 August 2016 (UTC)

Whoops

Yeah that didn't happen in the end. Justin has been trolling all week by saying he'll do it the next morning but something always goes tits up on the test wiki (which pretty much all processes get tested out on first). It'll probably happen some time this week but I can't say when. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 22:16, 23 July 2016 (UTC)

I figured something happened that prevented it since nothing ever broke. I just didn't want people to not post any problems due to a warning that had no relevance. -Darqam (talk) 22:45, 23 July 2016 (UTC)
I'd like to point out it didn't happen this week either :D -Darqam (talk) 18:58, 31 July 2016 (UTC)
Test wiki went tits up obviously. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 19:26, 31 July 2016 (UTC)

Skill Version History - tables

Hey Darqam, as you are busy creating tables, maybe a single page for multiple tables is enough, as this information will be put on their respective sites anyway. -Nefastu (talk) 21:51, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

That... that is a smart idea... I will try to do a merge of previous works and make a link somewhere on the page. Also, if you see anything you disagree with, go right ahead and change it, the main point of me doing this is getting the annoying "getting content" part done. -Darqam (talk) 21:58, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

See also

Hello Darq-human. The 'also' in See also sections should be lowercase, since it's a basic word. —Ventriloquist 18:01, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

But... it's a title... all (important) words in a title are capitalized... no? -Darqam (talk) 18:03, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
The wiki doesn't use titlecase, though. Same reason why 'event involvement' and other two-or-more-word sections are lowercase. —Ventriloquist 18:13, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
Fine.... I'll try to remember; but don't expect me to always remember... but I'll try. -Darqam (talk) 18:18, 13 September 2016 (UTC)
It's not really significant, so don't sweat it if you miss it. Just my perfectionism talking. —Ventriloquist 18:24, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

Gem Store updates

Thanks for keeping on top of those. I know they're a pain.

I seem to recall you asking somewhere about having the API feed updates on what's available (it could have been someone else, if so, ignore this paragraph). I did notice that the minis under the 'H' panel are updated depending on if one is available for gems. I'm doubting this is a manual practice, as it would be prone to errors, so maybe some data is being passed around at one level or another. Maybe Anet can pipe that our way? G R E E N E R 17:19, 27 September 2016 (UTC)

Yeah I've asked for auto updated on items leaving/entering the gemstore (both on Stephane's page and on the API forum; both remained silent so I assume they don't want to talk about it >.>. I'll keep it in mind for the minis, as for the rest I can keep sort of on top of it when dealing with the 1-2 week available stuff; but the items that just randomly up and leave... yeah those might not get caught for a long long time. -Darqam (talk) 17:21, 27 September 2016 (UTC)
