- Kill Mercenaries and Veteran Mercenaries — 6% heart progress
- Kill Veteran Acolytes of Balthazar — 10% heart progress
- Push Mercenaries or Veteran Acolytes of Balthazar into the lava pools or lava channels. (You can use the Lava Hammer effect from the Fountainhead.) — 10% heart progress in addition to their kill percentages
- Kill Lava Slugs — 5% heart progress
- Kill Veteran Magma Elementals — 10% heart progress
- Kill Ley-Line Scavengers and use their Ley Organ to Transfer Magic to a Grounding Crystal — 5% to 50% heart progress, depending on channel time. Stand further away to channel longer.
