Notes[edit]
- Salvage rate research can be found here.
- A cheap and straightforward way to get Balls of Dark Energy is to buy an ascended armor piece from strike vendor Smoxxi and then salvage it with an Ascended Salvage Tool. This will cost 150 blue prophet shards and 6 gold. Crafting is another option, but it's several times more expensive, requires account bound materials and a respective crafting profession leveled to 500.
- Another caveat to crafting is that some of the more recently added ascended items do not appear to have their salvage tables set up correctly, and do not salvage into Balls of Dark Energy. An example of this would be the Empowered Boneskinner's Totem.
- While some precursor weapons are of Ascended rarity, salvaging them does not guarantee a Ball of Dark Energy.
