Mechanics[edit]

  • If you move while channeling the skill, it cancels your attack and the blur effect. The skill will also go on full cooldown.
  • The duration of the blur effect is 1.12s without Quickness.png Quickness and 0.88 seconds with Quickness.png Quickness. This is a side effect of the effect being removed when the skill channel ends.

February 25, 2020 Competitive content update:
  • (Competitive split) Reduced power coefficient per strike from 0.2564 to 0.128.
July 10, 2018
  • The animation time of this skill has been reduced from approximately 1.75 seconds to 1 second while retaining all previous attacks.
  • Damage of this skill has been reduced by 17% in PvP and WvW, with PvE being reduced by 36%.
  • The baseline recharge time has been reduced from 12 seconds to 10 seconds.
August 08, 2017 Path of Fire pre-patch:
  • This skill now goes on full cooldown if it is canceled.

  • The damage of this ability has been increased by 100% in PvE areas only.

  • This is now evasion instead of immunity. This means it will be affected by retaliation.
  • Increased the cooldown to 12 seconds.
