The special category contains additional objectives which refresh quarterly. While most of these objectives can only be completed by playing content exclusive to the Secrets of the Obscure expansion, festivals and special events have objectives available for all types of players and accounts.

- ^ Complete the A New Friend Achievement: Requires the Who Rescues Whom? mastery to unlock the achievement
- ^ Ride a Ley Line Using a Griffon or Skyscale: Requires the Ley-Line Acclimation mastery. Only ley-lines in Skywatch Archipelago or Amnytas count.
- ^ Complete 15 Tier 3 Rift Hunts: To open a tier 3 rift one of the player should use
Rare Kryptis Motivation
- ^ Hit 25 Kryptis Blasters, Kryptis Sentinels, or Kryptis Drainers with Skyscale Fireball Skill: A lot of these spawn during Livia event chain in Amnytas, meta event and in Destroy the Kryptis turrets in Bastion of Strength-NW of [&BNMNAAA=], Amnytas. These can also be found during Unlocking the wizard's tower meta event 2nd stage of the meta in each of zones where essences should be collected and the last stage of the meta around platforms with siphons.
