“Before completion: Learn to mount the skyscale in midair to save yourself while falling.
If you also have the Air Rescue Skyscale Mount Mastery trained, your skyscale may gain the Bond of Vigor effect shortly after mounting in midair.
Unlock the A New Friend achievement.
After completion: You can now mount and dismount your skyscale in midair. While aloft, use the mount hotkey to hop on or off of the skyscale.
If you also have Skyscale Mastery Air Rescue trained, your skyscale may gain the Bond of Vigor effect shortly after mounting in midair.
Complete the achievement A New Friend to summon your skyscale outside of Secrets of the Obscure maps.

Notes[edit]
- The Bond of Vigor effect seems to have an internal cooldown of about 10 seconds, and will not activate if you were riding your Skyscale within 3 seconds prior to mounting midair.
