The Covington Keep is a point of interest within the Laughing Gull Island. Sitting on the shore of a sheltered cove lies a group of wrecked ships. These serve as the formidable base from which Admiral Taidha Covington leads her Covington pirate organization.

History[edit]

Originally designated as Port Noble, it was originally a Krytan sea port, and was one of the few ports to have survived the Rising of Orr's tidal wave, alongside Port Stalwart. By 1229 AE, King Baede had closed it off to profiteers and turned it into a military harbor. Around 1237 AE, it had a new dock built, and in 1256 AE there were rumors that Prince Edair was gathering a navy there to ready for an attack on Lion's Arch. Some ships were flying the colors of Port Noble during the Great Krytan Blockade in 1256 AE. At an unknown point since then, Zhaitan's forces descimated Port Noble, razing it to the ground and leaving it in ruins.

Admiral Taidha Covington built her base over Port Noble's ruins in recent years, renaming it as Covington Keep.

Notes[edit]

Dialogue in the Battle of Claw Island suggests that Port Noble fell before the building of Claw Island, however in Sea of Sorrows, Claw Island was built before Port Noble was destroyed.
