Dialogue[edit]

Talking to Broka Steeltrap
P-please, you have to help me... Pardon my hushed tone, but I can't trust Wavering Heart with this... I suspect that she may be...possessed.
Talk more option tango.png Calm down. Tell me what's happening.
The library has been infiltrated. Look for missing books, tampered documents... Anything that'll help us determine who is compromised.
Talk end option tango.png I see. I'll check it out.
Talk end option tango.png Sorry, the war is pulling me away. Good luck!
Talking to Head Archivist Wavering Heart
You... You stay away... You might be one of them, o-or maybe...you're not... What are you doing here, anyway?
Dignity I'm here to help!
Talk end option tango.png I'll leave you to it. No stress from me.
Delivering Evidence
One of the following:
Head Archivist Wavering Heart: Whispers. Whispers and lies. Everywhere.
Head Archivist Wavering Heart: They can't fool me. I will burn their treachery to the ground.
Head Archivist Wavering Heart: I can feel them. Watching me. Scheming. Laughing.
Head Archivist Wavering Heart: First the wizards, then the hunters. Soon, all of us.
Revealing a Ward member's possession
Possessed Ward Worker: Suffer.
Event success
Broca Steeltrap: Wavering Heart's paranoia was well founded. Is nowhere safe from the Kryptis?
Event failure
Head Archivist Wavering Heart: All of this knowledge has been sullied by the demons! Replaced by falsehoods and perversions.
Head Archivist Wavering Heart: But I shall cleanse this library of their lies.
Broca Steeltrap: NO, STOP!

Notes[edit]

The Possessed Ward Workers will drop a Piece of Purist Propaganda if killed (dropped to 0% health, not just 50%), which can sometimes be done when the event ends because The Defense of Amnytas is about to start.
One of the books during this event states the first Kryptis incursion occurred in 635 BE, however, Lonely Tower Fractal establishes that the first Kryptis incursion happened "immediately after"[1] the Astral Ward was established, in 604 AE.
