Walkthrough[edit]

In this event, 6 bosses spawn throughout the map, 1 per sector. Event awards are given once all 6 are beaten. Each boss has its own signature ability. Killing a boss transfers that ability to all remaining bosses. This means that an ideal map will kill the bosses within seconds of each other, so the others only have to deal with the upgraded bosses for mere moments instead of minutes.

To achieve the golden completion rating, cooperation and communication is required. The following is a general guide for the primary strategy used in achieving Gold kills.

  1. Separate into 6 roughly even groups before the main event starts. (During Prepare for the Boss Blitz)
    • Using Commander tags and Mentorship tags makes group separation easily visible and more convenient to players. Commander tags allow easy number counts and promote even boon distribution.
    • You only need around 8-10 people per group
  2. Once the "1 minutes until bosses spawn" warning appears, drop down into your respective boss pits and begin clearing the random mobs in the area. This not only gives you loot, but it will also make the resulting fight easier since you won't be dealing with more than one threat at once.
  3. Assign one person (usually the commander) to give progress call-outs. You'll want to give updates every 25% or so, though it's really only necessary at 25% and lower.
  4. When the boss reaches 25% health or lower, reduce your damage. Check that other groups are reaching the same milestone. Gradually lower their health to around 10%, then halt damage. Don't break combat with the boss or they may reset.
  5. Once all groups have reached their 10% milestone, a "burn" announcement should be given. Quickly damage your boss and reduce them to 0 health.
  6. Once your boss is dead, waypoint to the middle or stay in your pit and kill remaining minions. Do not go to a remaining boss. Bosses begin to upscale at around 13-15 players, and they will gain a large amount of health very quickly. This means that going to that boss will make the kill take LONGER. Any player who can see a given boss's health is contributing to the scaling of that boss's event, regardless of their participation. This includes dead players and players who are spectating from the bridges that surround the pits.
Tips
  • Every boss features a Defiance bar mechanic. As long as you have fewer than 12 or so players, this bar is relatively easy to break. Once it is broken, the boss will stop attacking and will take increased damage. This is a great way to stay alive and deal decent damage. You may break the bar by using Crowd Control skills.
  • Breaking the Defiance bar will grant Might.png5 Might to all players not in that pie slice, this stacks for each Boss bar broken. Even one player breaking the bar will grant the boons to the other areas of the pie.
  • Each boss has its own mechanics. Some mechanics will make it easier to burn than others. It's recommended that the final "Burn" call come from Boom-Boom Baines' pie slice, since she will frequently summon a healing turret. Once they've destroyed her most recent turret, they can safely call a burn without fear of it being slowed or negated by a turret.
  • "Holding" a boss is ceasing damage almost 100%. The easiest way to slow damage is to use only auto attacks. To halt damage while still keeping the boss in combat, a couple stacks of any damaging condition and a nearby player target will do.
  • Any player who can see a given boss's health is contributing to the scaling of that boss's event, regardless of their participation. This includes dead players and players who are spectating from the bridges that surround the pits.
  • At the Bronze Tier reward , the bosses no longer transfer their abilities to other bosses once defeated

Notes[edit]

  • Accessing the gauntlets above will forfeit you from getting any rewards, even if you have already defeated one of the champions.
  • During August 10 to August 13, 2018, there was a Special event active. During the Weekend Boss Blitz Bonanza, players had to defeat 5,000 Boss Blitz bosses to earn rewards. Everyone who participated in at least one boss will get 5 Celebration Booster.pngCelebration Boosters and 10 Zephyr Sanctum Supply Box.pngZephyrite Supply Boxes. [1]
    • The goal was increased to 7,500 and 10,000 bosses, with additional rewards. The total reward for each player who participated in the weekend event is 25 boosters and 45 boxes.
      • However, some players reported receiving the rewards twice. At this moment, it is unknown if it was because of a bug.
