Huntsman
|
Huntsman is a crafting discipline that focuses on ranged weapons, including shortbows, longbows, pistols, rifles, and harpoon guns, as well as torches and warhorns. This type of crafting requires a Huntsman's station. A huntsman can craft items useful to all professions except elementalists, but is particularly useful to warriors, engineers, thieves and rangers.
[edit] Master Huntsmen
Speaking to any of these NPCs will allow a character to become a huntsman after paying a fee of 10
per level in the target discipline.

[edit] Weapons
Standard weapons are crafted from two crafting components and an inscription.
[edit] Crafting components
This table summarizes the two crafting components required for each weapon type. Note that some components are shared between weapon types.
[edit] Inscriptions
- Primary article: Inscription
One Inscription is required per weapon. Please note that these recipes only hold true for tiers 1 through 5.
General recipe (basic): Wood Dowel + 3 Fine Crafting Materials
General recipe (plated): Metal Plated Dowel + 8 Fine Crafting Materials
General recipe (imbued): 2 Metal Plated Dowel + 15 Fine Crafting Materials
This recipe holds true for tier 6 inscriptions.
General recipe (imbued): 5 Metal Plated Dowel + 5 Glob of Ectoplasm + 5 Fine Crafting Materials
[edit] Weapons by tier
To craft a specific weapon requires a pair of matching components and an inscription from the same tier. Using a basic inscription will produce a fine-quality weapon, and using a plated inscription will produce a masterwork-quality weapon. Using an imbued inscription will create a Rare weapon, or in the case of tier 6, an Exotic weapon.
For full details by tier or level, see the listing of recipes by tier above. For details by weapon and tier, refer to the table below.
[edit] Rare weapons
For tiers 2-5, you can purchase special Imbued inscription recipes for karma from master huntsmen. Using imbued inscriptions to craft a weapon will result in a rare-quality weapon with a distinct appearance.
[edit] Tier 6 exotic weapons
There are no regular or plated inscriptions for tier 6, only imbued inscriptions, and they produce exotic-quality weapons.
| Harpoon Gun | Longbow | Pistol | Rifle | Shortbow | Torch | Warhorn | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | Pearl Harpoon Gun | Pearl Stinger | Pearl Handcannon | Pearl Blunderbuss | Pearl Needler | Pearl Brazier | Pearl Siren |
| 6 | Destroyer Harpoon Gun | Destroyer Longbow | Destroyer Pistol | Destroyer Rifle | Destroyer Short Bow | Destroyer Torch | Destroyer Warhorn |
[edit] Unique weapons
To learn these recipes, a recipe sheet must be purchased from a karma vendor, They cannot be learned through the discovery process. The vendor that sells the recipe sheet is listed below - they DO NOT sell the weapon itself. Note that most of these do not follow the standard recipe of 2 components + 1 inscription.
