Looks like I have to go on a killing spree!

GuildWars2.com Berserker

The berserker is a soldier profession which relies on savage rage. Forfeiting the techniqal prowess of a warrior and the chivalry of guardians, the berserker is a force of destruction on the battlefield. Scything through enemy ranks, they draw their strength not only from their anger, but also from the demonic forces native to the Mists.

Abilities[edit]

The berserker can become one of the three Aspects of destruction; Anger, Hate or Suffering. The three Aspects each affect the berserker's skills in a different way.

  • Aspect of Anger increases the number of attacks when using Streaks.
  • Aspect of Hate makes streaks blows cause more conditions and other effects.
  • Aspect of Suffering will help the berserker survive by enhancing their healing skills and increasing duration of any instance of the Regeneration boon.

However, as the berserker takes damage and loses health, the Aspect will eventually wear out. When one Aspect wears off, they will recharge, and the berserker must set for another Aspect. They can also temporarily give up on all Aspects voluntarily, or if they have all worn out, although the berserker will be weaker without. The amount of damage which can be taken before Aspect wears off is equal to the berserker's own maximum health.

Skills[edit]

See list of berserker skills and concise list of berserker skill descriptions.

Special skill types[edit]

  • Chains — a set of three skills that share a single skill slot. Chains go off in sequence if you are hitting your target.
  • Charge skills — these skills are held down - the longer the hold, the more impressive the attack upon release.
  • Shouts — these instantly buff allies or de-buff enemies when used.
  • Streaks — a different chain of attacks, consisting of single strike which can be used up to five times (eight times with Aspect of Anger), each blow becoming more powerful than previous.

Traits[edit]

The berserker has one general trait line, Intimidation. They also have lines for each of the three Ascepts, as well as for each weapon they can wield. A berserker can learn new traits by finding essences of the Mists in Tyria, either by killing enemies or finding them in secret locations.

See list of berserker traits.
