Wood Gathering Event

After completing the wood gathering event, you get an experience boost (yellow XP symbol) called "Explorer's Respite'. It lasts for 3 hours and gives +5% experience.

There's actually a few different ones you can get. I believe when you talk to Elisa, she lets you pick, then the event starts.

I think they're:

•  Explorer's Warmth - +5% Karma
•  Explorer's Glow - +10% Magic Find

Location / Dialogue

Hmm... When was this NPC added? Have she ever been twice on the same place (same map and area, near the same PoI/WP)? I'm under the impression she'll get new location every week (after going through the 5th map, she'll return to 1st map, but in a different place). If so, it would be wiser to change the Dialogue section to only display current week's dialogue and store everything else under "previous dialogues" / "previous locations". Even though we know where she will be leading to on future weeks (Crystal Oasis > Elon Riverlands > The Desolation > Desert Highlands > Domain of Vabbi > repeat), we don't know exactly where she will be standing at, and different areas implies (slightly) different dialogue lines. And if anyone is willing (and able) to change those mini-map pictures of the gallery into Interactive Map through Coordinates template, please feel free to do so. --NIN37 19:41, 28 October 2017 (UTC)

Patch notes a little while back said she'd finally be selling ALL the pieces of the Bounty Hunter armor sets. Just thought I'd update this thread in case anyone in future is wondering. The notes they're in are the ones dated for March 27, 2018. "Merchants that change what they offer every day should have a better randomization of their available items. Hey, so I went a bit through the page history and tried to compile a list of past coordinates. Unfortunately, there weren't all that many of them... Seems like NIN37 added the first coordinates on Oct 28. Oh, and I'm not sure whether this talk page is the best place to document this sort of information, but I don't know where else to put it. I have tested PRE's location with LIS and she is in the Domain of Vabbi. She is not at the one point listed in your guide and verified by other YouTube videos. We're actually still discovering where she goes each week. Once someone finds her for this week and adds it/lets someone know, we should have the 2nd location. 1 year has 52 weeks. Seems she got a shorter cycle than Nicholas (137 weeks or 2.6 year).

Currently there are doubled descriptions on how to get there (once in the location table above and the gallery image descriptions). I also found it kinda annoying to find the right image after finding the location already. Didn't want to make such a big change without feedback. Location Schedule

Ok first ever try editing a wiki. Continuum Splat is right. She is currently in The Desolation. Go directly east from PoI (Village of Purity) at The Bonestrand. When you hit the mountain range there is a sand/jackal portal. Use it to get up and jump on the rock formation to the right. Will try to upload image. Samjatin (talk) 22:29, 29 December 2017 (UTC)

OK, i took a stab at it. Desolation was highlighted (wrong) so I moved all the spots up one week. Now Desert Highlands is highlighted correctly (for this week). Saw in map chat someone was looking for her and she had moved from Nimbose Butte. Checked all of the known areas in the Desolation and Crystal Oasis myself, and no luck.

I haven't seen this location listed anywhere, so thought I would add it for others who are pulling their hair out.

It's in Elon Riverlands on the North face of Augury Rock (not to be confused with the already-known NE location).

It's Friday (02-02-2018), so she has moved again. Looks like she's in the Desolation now. Check the two known locations there.

What armor piece's recipe does she sell each day?

ANet mentioned in the March 27, 2018 notes that her items were supposedly randomized. To confirm, I decided to track what armor pieces she sells (and was hunting for the Armorsmith and Tailor chest recipes at the time). I waited for almost a week to get the recipes I needed, then once I'd gotten them, the chest piece recipes were offered again two days after, then two days after. Leg recipes were offered in a 2-3 day span. In 5 days, I didn't see any recipes for boots or gloves. So confirmed, what she offers is randomly determined upon daily reset. People hunting for particular recipes will just have to check in with her day after day until they get what they want. --Messenger (talk) 10:15, 30 October 2019 (UTC)

Suspecting 52 locations total

We've recently hit her 50th location and next up is Desert Highlands. If she continues her usual route, following that will be Vabbi for the 52nd, and thanks to skipping Crystal Oasis and Elon Riverlands on her 14th to 15th week, she hits a perfect rotation at 52, the number of weeks in a year, despite there being 5 zones. So I'm guessing we may see her "reset" in just under two weeks, which would explain that strange oddity (most likely, that was to be the final week for Elisa's rotation when designed internally, and we found her "halfway through" at PoF's release). (Edit conflict) That's definitely off. It shows 10 places in each map, but she's been to the Desolation 11 times, and Vabbi 9, as of this moment. Looking through her past visits, she went to two spots twice - and that was during the odd breaking from her pattern situation. Locations 15 and 20, going to Boundary Preserve, The Desolation, and locations 14 and 16, going to Brightwater Inlet, Desert Highlands. Per my theory that PoF launched "mid-rotation" for Elisa, her rotation would have began at location 16.

In addition to this, the event id coordinates from the API shows two locations Elisa has yet to be - one in Cragged Vale, Vabbi, and one in Enchanted Bluffs, Desert Highlands. These are likely our next two spots before returning to Crystal Oasis.

Plus, if she had a simple 50 location rotation, why make that odd break, and the next one should be Crystal Oasis, starting at location 1 again, but she says she's going to Desert Highlands. Konig (talk) 04:40, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

Feedback 2018/12/22

Not entirely sure what is going on. The current location for Priory Historian Elisa is correct for week 51. The MAP picture is not. I uploaded a correct version, but it did not replace the current wrong map picture. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Darlgon (talk).

The image has been updated, and was properly uploaded, the cache just wasn't updated yet. Images, especially larger ones, sometimes take a bit to update. To hasten it you can clear the cache (clicking on the time next to your username up top) and then refresh the page. That said, you'd want to crop that image - in addition to the longer load time, there's no need to show the entire map. A simpler route from waypoint to Elisa's location is ideal. Hi. I've been popping in and out of the Desolation trying to find Priory Historian Elisa all day. Today is a Tuesday and the guide says she's to be found just outside of the Forgotten Lair waypoint. I am absolutely certain I'm in the right place, according to the map shot on the guide, but she's not there. I used the "refresh page" link repeatedly, but no change. If she only appears after certain events or is only there some of the time, that would be really useful information and should be included in the guide. Current Image of Elisa Location is incorrect (week 51), older versions of this image are correct (shes NOT in the cave down in brightwater inlet but NE from brightwater inside the blue tent on top of the cliff). Week 53

The week number for today is calculated as 53, which doesn't show any location. Elisa's actual location in-game corresponds to week 1 (in Brightwater Inlet), but even if I'd add a special case for week 53 to map it to number 1, in 3 days the calculation will say 0, which is mapped to 52, although I presume Elisa won't move back again. It looks to me like the calculation here doesn't quite match the in-game one, but I'm not sure how to best correct it... 18:18, 1 January 2021 (UTC)

Jan 1, 2022 has wrong location

As we've seen, she has a 52 weeks cycle. This means that every 53-week-year will introduce a 1 week offset that'll last over time (unless we had 51-week-years to compensate but sadly, we do not). This was fixed last year by Noxx by accounting for an offset during 53-week-years. Unfortunately the offset lasts beyond the year it's introduced in and all previous years would need to be checked to make this dynamic. I don't know if we should instead compensate by offsetting the week numbers in the table since they're no longer true, or if we should keep a 53-year-week counter in the computation, which is essentially what Tolkyria introduced this year. Two questions:

• How important is the week number for wiki users? Is the current week number something wiki users are aware of? Because for me the week numbers have never played any role in my life so far, nevertheless it's always good to be precise.
• The Elisa's position has a cycle of 7 days starting on Friday and let us assume that we use the american calendar where the week starts with Sunday. So should we assign the reset on Friday to the current week (in this case feel free to shift the table and remove my offset) or should we treat the reset on Friday as a premature reset from the upcoming week that starts on Sunday as it's less than two days (in this case we should keep the offset and I guess we talk about it again in 2026)?

• I would assume most people don't care about week numbers, but that's just an assumption, knowing would require asking people that look at the page to chime in...
• I've changed the way to compute her location to avoid having to compensate all the various issues that arise from working with time (it should work in 2026 too). As to the table indexes, I guess it's fine as is because "week" can be both the ISO week or just the week index within her 52-week cycle so it doesn't really matter. I had ISO week stuck when I was wondering if it should be changed but I came up empty as to a better term until I realized "week" is actually correct.

I'm afraid but the current code isn't quite accurate. The formula as it is currently passes 0 indexed indexes onto the template, while the template expects 1 indexed indexes. So on/at e.g. 2022-12-23T08:00:00Z it would pass 0 to the template causing it to not show any row.

And, for what it's worth, i would be for using the code suggested in the section imidiatelly above, if "only" for the elaborateness of the comments and it already existing.

But while i could do that and while there wasn't much wait before the suggestion to change it and the change itself (During which e.g. i could have suggested using the already existing code found in the section above before yet another person has to come up with something even though something's already there.) above. I actually meant to wait a few days (at least 3 (and even then only once i have also taken note of the dialogue)) to give them time to take note of this and correct the current code themself, if they so desire. No problem. Testing could possibly have helped. And it's you who'll end up doing "extra" "work" if you're doing it imidiatelly withouth leaving time for anyone to potentially inform you of a simpler, better or, at the very least in this case, already existing solution. If you're fine with that i don't think waiting's nececarrilly nececcarry. (At least i don't think it was in this case. There at least was like no specific plan of this to be done in a specific way or something planed for it already or some wiki process calling for a waiting time or so also at least.) But since nothing ever appeared incorrectly on the page since the code was always correct for the times it was different for as long as it was up (and even if something would have appeared incorrectly), i don't think how it was intermittently matters all to much anymore. For what remains now is a bit of code behaviour unmatching comment text above the current, also not fully reduced, code, that which otherwise works. Ok, it seems it was changed since then (and i'm also not sure how (or if) to proceed with this anymore now) so i guess i'll leave my paws off of it. For what it's worth; i was thinking to change the formula to ( ( {{#time:U|now}} - {{#time:U|2017-09-22T08:00:00}} ) / ( 7 * 24 * 60 * 60 ) + 37 ) mod 52 + 1 and the comment to explain that this computes the difference in time in weeks since the first possible week [shortly after Path of Fire release (This is also the week of the first recorded location.)], offsets it to start at the corresponding index of the week in the cycle, with the cycle itself starting with the first week of the initial year [2017], takes the modulo to constrain the result to the 52 possibilities that were accounted for before finally adding one to change the index from starting at 0 to one starting at 1 as expected by the result consuming template in some way.
