- When the elite Kryptis invader is defeated
- A corruption crystal will float above each memory snare. Target the crystals and use the provided special action key to purge it.

Dialogue[edit]
- After the timer
- Mabon: Lyhr's body may be stable, but his mind is adrift. I fear this may have been too much to ask of him.
- Mabon: Kryptis are trying to burrow their way in, and he's in no state to stop them on his own. It falls to me instead.
- Mabon: The memory snares around the platform will isolate the memories weakening Lyhr and reveal the threats inside of them.
- Mabon: If we lose the snares, there will be no way to control the—
- Lyhr: Rock boils up from below...and the end comes with it.
- Mabon: Tread carefully! The manifestations of his memories will be as real as anything else.
- Mabon: I will separete the threats as best I can. Now go!
- Charging the snares
- Mabon: Quickly, charge the memory snares so we can begin!
- After one snare is charged
- Mabon: Good, the first one is ready!
- After two snares are charged
- Mabon: That's it, only one more is needed!
- After all snares are charged
- Mabon: The snares are ready! I'll channel Lyhr's memories to the projectors, but you'll have to handle the rest.
- Mabon: Those below must protect the snares while those above handle whatever manifests from the memories.
- Mabon: Once the crystals are filled with the corruption, we'll need to cleanse them.
- Mabon: It's starting; ready yourselves!
- First memory (snare 1)
- Lyhr: Hurry, everyone inside! Those bastards are coming, and we're out of time.
- Lyhr: Rand, get ready to seal those doors on my signal!
- Lyhr: Don't worry, little one. We'll keep them out, I promise.
- Second memory (snare 2)
- Lyhr: How did these damn things get in here?
- Lyhr: We need to drive these blighters back into the dirt! With me!
- Lyhr: This city may fall someday, but it won't be this day!
- Third memory (snare 3)
- Lyhr: You mursaat lackeys have the nerve to interrupt my night out?
- Lyhr: Hey! Get your damn claws off him!
- Lyhr: Rand!
- On all platforms
- Mabon: The process is working, but we have to keep going!
- Mabon: That's it, we're making progress! Don't falter now!
- Mabon: There! That's the source of teh corruption!
- Mabon: Quickly, defeat that Kryptis!
- Mabon: Hurry to me; we must cleanse the crystal!
- After one of the memories is purged
- Mabon: The first memory has been purged. You will have peace again soon, old friend.
- After two of the memories are purged
- Mabon: Another memory excised. Keep pushing forward!
- After all three memories are purged
- Mabon: We have purged the corruption from some of his memories but...we must press on if we are to bring Lyhr back.
- Mabon: The corruption is spreading through his mind now, into his more recent memories. We have to hurry!
- Mabon: I...couldn't contain the power in the memory snares. We'll need to charge them again. I am sorry, friends.
- After one snare is recharged
- Mabon: Hold on, Lyhr. We'll get through this.
- After two snares are recharged
- Mabon: I won't fail you, my friend.
- After all snares are recharged
- Mabon: Split up! We must cleanse the corruption from all three memories!
- If a snare is not defended
- Mabon: The snare went down! You have to get it back up, quickly!
- Mabon: Get that snare back up quickly, or we risk losing Lyhr forever!
- Mabon: It's charged again, and not a moment too soon!
- Fourth memory (snare 1)
- Lyhr: What are you damn things doing here? No invitation means you're not welcome in Tyria, understand?
- Lyhr: Did your master send you, or was it someone else? No answer, of course. Not sure why I even bothered.
- Lyhr: Weapons ready, ward!
- Fifth memory (snare 2)
- Lyhr: Do these damn pirates have any idea what damage they're doing to the very fabric of Tyria?
- Lyhr: Hey, stop! Stop this instant, you bleedin'... What did you just say? Oh, I'm taking the gloves early today.
- Lyhr: All right, ward, take 'em down!
- Sixth memory (snare 3)
- Lyhr: Another Void tear inside the tower? Come on, we've got to seal it!
- Lyhr: This is quite a mess they've made here. But if they can get themselves out of it, maybe it's time to give them a chance.
- Lyhr: Until then, it looks like we've gotta handle things ourselves again.
- Once snares become corrupted
- Mabon: What is... No, the Kryptis are distorting the devices!
- Mabon: You have to destroy the memory snares to stop them. It's the only way!
- After one snare has been destroyed
- Mabon: It's back on the platform, but be careful! I sense that something has changed.
- After destroying all three memory snares
- Mabon: Without the memory snares, the platform isn't safe. Go and help the others!
- Upon killing the first memory snare invader
- Mabon: They're drawing magic from each other, somehow. You need to kill them at once!
- Upon killing the third memory snare invader
- Mabon: They're turning their focus to Lyhr! They're desperate! Everyone to me; now is our chance to finish them!
- After event success
- Mabon: Lyhr! Lyhr, can you hear me?
- Lyhr: Ah, would you quit shouting? Got enough of a headache as it is.
- Lyhr: But I do feel better with that nonsense of my mind.
- Mabon: It is...a relief to see you well, my friend.
- Lyhr: Well then, whaddaya say we get back home?
- In front of the tower
- Lyhr: Now we see if this key was worth all the trouble.
- Mabon: Whenever you're ready.
- Lyhr: More redundancies! Isgarren is ridiculous with the security here. All the work wasn't enough.
- Mabon: It was, Lyhr. We are home now, even if it's just a part of it. Let's enjoy that while we can.
- Lyhr: I wish there was something here that would help us open the rest.
- Mabon: With so many ritual books in here, there is bound to be something in at least one of them that we can use.
- Talking to Lyhr in the tower courtyard after event success
- Do you regret losing your memories?
- Lyhr: No...no, I don't. There's a lot that is missing since I joined the wizards, but I've got a lot of memories with them.
- Lyhr: What made those memories special also made them dangerous to our enemies. Our work is too important to risk that.
- Lyhr: Besides, just because I don't remember it doesn't mean it didn't happen. For me, for us...that has to be enough.
- Are you feeling better now?
- Lyhr: I'm getting there. It was rough for a while, having those things crawling around in my head.
- Lyhr: Luckily, that stiff kick to the head you gave me is just what the doctor ordered. Sometimes, that's what it takes.
- Lyhr: But if you had any lingering doubts about how serious the situation is, hopefully this has cleared them.
- Nothing right now.
- Talking to Mabon in the tower courtyard after event success
- So the key only partly worked, what do we do now?
- Mabon: We will need to find additional solutions, it seems. But things are in motion, and there is value in that.
- Mabon: For now, we should enjoy this victory; we're only given so many of these, after all.
- Do you feel guilty about having to remove memories?
- Mabon: Of course. We pay a heavy cost to join the order, and that mantle weighs heavy on my shoulders, even after all this time.
- Mabon: But if we are going to make decisions for all of Tyria, we must be free of entanglements with it.
- Mabon: No one joins the court without understanding that, though. I'm proud of each of them. Their sacrifice is not lost on me.
- After all this, I bet you could use a vacation.
- Mabon: Maybe so. I'll admit, there's been little time for rest around here as of late.
- Mabon: But when I see the strength of my fellows on the court, the courage of the ward...I know this is where I belong.
- Mabon: The truth is, even in these dark times...there's nowhere I'd rather be.
- I'll ask later.
- Before courtyard gates close
- Mabon: I was afraid of this. The tower's defenses are turning on again. We won't have long before it...expels us.
- Lyhr: A pretty unpleasant step; you can take my word for that. Nearly lost a foot last time.
- Lyhr: So what now, then?
- Mabon: We'll learn what we can while we're here. Hopefully, it'll be enough.
- Mabon: I will wait as long as I can, then regroup at the Beacon of Ages to plan our next steps.
- Lyhr: Well, I'm taking off now. I've got enough of a headache without the tower kicking me while I'm down.
- Mabon: I never expected that one day I would feel so attached to this place. If only I had more time here.
- Event failure
- Mabon: There's no way to keep Lyhr and the key anymore... Stand back. I'm going to destroy it.
- Mabon: The key's magic will draw them away from Lyhr. We'll have to try again later, but...it's not worth his life.
Notes[edit]
- The enemies projected from Lyhr's memories during the memory snare extraction phases, count towards achievements related to the enemy archetype; e.g., the Nightmare enemies award progress for the War Eternal: Burning Forest Slayer achievement, and the Void enemies award progress for the corresponding Wizard's Vault "Defeat 100 enemies" objective. If you are looking for a particular enemy archetype, they appear as follows:
- First extraction:
- Platform I (Northwest): Stone Summit
- Platform II (Southwest): Destroyer
- Platform III (East): White Mantle and Jade Construct
- Second extraction:
- Platform I (Northwest): Nightmare
- Platform II (Southwest): Aetherblade
- Platform III (East): Void
