The Waylit Lantern (achievement)

The Waylit Lantern is an achievement that starts with Lyhr in The Wizard's Tower and ventures through Amnytas and the Shiverpeak Mountains to discover the history of a relic that Lyhr owns.

1	Speak to Lyhr in the Wizard's Tower.	Lyhr is found at the  Forge of Timelessness — .
2	Retrieve Lyhr's Relic by defeating the Avatars of Rage and Regret in the Bastion of Balance.	Complete [Group Event] Engage the avatars and free the Bastion of Balance (80) in Amnytas.
3	Return to Lyhr in the Wizard's Tower.	Lyhr is found at the  Forge of Timelessness — .
4	Gain favor with Elrik by defeating the possessed dwarf at Droknar's Forge.	Complete [Group Event] Defeat the dwarf before they're fully posessed (80).
5	Speak with Elrik.	Forgemaster Elrik returns to  Droknar's Forge — after completing the Event in Step 4. He stands north of the forge with Lyhr.
6	Get a history lesson from a dwarf at the Durmand Priory Headquarters.	Enter The Durmand Priory (instance). Speak to Ogden Stonehealer in the head office at the northeast side of the instance.
7	Find Novice Taeya in Lornar's Pass near Guutra's Homestead.	Novice Taeya is located at  Guutra's Secret — .
8	Speak to Timin Blastburl near Dwarves' Gloaming.	Timin Blastburl is located east of  Dwarves' Gloaming — near the lake's edge.
9	Help collect dwarven artifacts.	Complete the event Collect dwarven artifacts from False Lake for Innkeeper Klement (37). Completing the event gives the Dwarven Trinket used for step 11.
10	Return to Timin.
11	Speak to Von Delverunner inside King Jalis's Refuge.	Complete King Jalis's Refuge (jumping puzzle) north of  Drakentelt — . Von Delverunner is located on the balcony area south of the treasure room. Requires the Dwarven Trinket received from step 9.
12	Seek out dwarves investigating the Forsaken Halls in Dredgehaunt Cliffs.	Starting with the Event Chain in at  Travelen's Waypoint — enter the Forsaken Halls. In the second chamber of the Forsaken Halls, cross to the opposite side of the room (southwest side of the room) and go up the stairs. Note that you can use your mount throughout the puzzle, allowing you to skip events. There is a dwarf corpse with a Dwarven Journal next to them. Interact with the Dwarven Journal and use it in your inventory.
13	Find Riley Waylit in Nakrojos Pass.	Talk with Riley Waylit south of  Seven Pines Waypoint — . Use the fourth dialogue option.
14	Return to Lyhr.	Lyhr is found at the  Forge of Timelessness — . Completes after Lyhr finishes talking.

Would you look at that…I’ve not seen a Waylit lantern in quite some time.

The Waylits are a family of scouts, trackers, and delvers. Each receives a lantern as a rite of passage into adulthood.

A few Waylits remain, out scavenging what’s left of their homes with the other Deldrimor.

In fact, I sent a Priory escort with my own kin to investigate ruins to the south.

It’s a parcel for one of the Priory members. Deliver it and speak to the dwarves. They may be of some help.

It took two days, but we figured out how to bypass the magical seal on the door without needing the key. Our people built this, after all.

Tiley and Hewn haven’t returned from the granite Citadel yet, but I don’t see the harm in the rest of us poking around the entry hall while we wait.

Jovers said he heard scratching further in, chittering. Hall has a pest problem, sounds like. Nothing the three of us can’t handle.

Riley Waylit: Say, aren’t you that “Pact Commander”? What brings you all the way out here?
