Hello! Feel free to make yourself at home in our camp. The Followers of Ascension welcome newcomers and travelers like.

What brought you to the desert?

It's my Wyld Hunt to discover the secrets of the Forgotten and Ascension. I spent years searching for answers and ended up here, where I've found others with similar ambitions.

Do you think a sylvari can Ascend, given your nature?

You mean because we come from the dragon Mordremoth? That past is not my future. I believe all creatures can Ascend. I'll find a way.

Tell me a bit about this camp.

The camp itself is pretty new, but the group is not. Xunn, Dawnwynn, and I traveled here together—a pilgrimage of sorts, to reach Ascension. Others have follower in our wake.

And those that followed you formed the other camps?

Yes. Some came from Amnoon, others from Tyria, and yet others are defectors from Joko's empire. We're a small community, but we take care of our own. We have to. This is the desert, after all.

What's your plan to reach Ascension?

If we defeat the Branded Forgotten near the seal, we'll have enough magic to reactivate the teleporter to the Ascension room. Then, we'll face Josso Essher—or what he's become.

And once you gain access to the Ascension room?

We know the Forgotten left secrets there for the Chosen to find and use. Maybe even other prophecies from Glint herself. Imagine what we could learn.

Who is Joko Essher?

Records are sketchy, but Josso Essher once tested the heroes of Tyria at Thirsty River, the most challenging Ascension trial. He, like the other Forgotten, was Branded by Kralkatorrik. Such a tragedy!

His name sounds familiar.

You must have come across Exalted Essher in Auric Basin. It's a genuine shame that all the Forgotten were Branded. So much knowledge, lost forever.

What's so special about Augury Rock?

This was where the Chosen of Tyria once attained Ascension to be closer to the gods. They were heroes who saved Tyria from the mursaat, from the Lich, and from the titans.

Can Ascension still happen here?

The ghost priest downstairs said Ascension hasn't been attained in generations. But I'm not giving up so easily. We'll crack the mystery, I'm sure.

What are all these verses plaques?

Those plaques are the writings of the very Flameseeker Prophecies foretold by Glint centuries ago. Each represents a verse, though for which scroll? It seems to change.

How do I read them?

Touch the plaque. Within are Forgotten Lights that emerge and split apart. Retrieve them all, and the verse will be revealed.

During Disperse the wild magic that escaped from Augury Rock

Something's wrong. I think our efforts threw off the natural balance of energy here. Unstable magic is seeping everywhere. Quick, we've got to disperse it!

How do we do that?

Well, these energies are inherently unstable. All we need to do is disrupt the flow. We might be able to break them up by simply passing through them.

What happens to the dispersed magic?

I would expect it to coalesce back within Augury Rock, but it could take on a different form instead. Let's be cautious.
